You should check with that country's import or agriculture laws. For the most part, I'd say no to taking it overseas. Just do your research before you waste your money to take it and end up having to dump it.

Canned items can be sent by mail, however, their are strict rules concerning what can go to what country. Also, fresh meat can't be transported.

the best way to bring meat on a plain is to put it in bread like a big sandwish so if someone says anything it was your food you never ate.

Not really.
It actually depends on where you are going. Say Iraq? No pork, they are anti pork!! If you are just talking about moving, you would have to package and have it sent through UPS or something
