I would vote for M&M's. They're more chocolatey, and that's what I like. Smarties are more hard candy shell which can be nice for a change, but not on a regular basis.

I prefer Smarties myself... although, I'm sure they were quite different when I was a child than they are now.

I do like M&M's as well though. I like the peanut butter ones the most, but here in Australia they're hard to come by.

One thing that is really cool about M&M's... if you check out the website you'll see that you can order them in custom colours for a special occasion. You could get them to match your wedding colours, or sporting team colours etc...

Well, I've never even had 'Smarties' !! So I'll have to vote for M&M's out of ignorance !!

Can someone describe "Smarties" ?? Perhaps their not sold here in California ?? ;;)

m & m's for sure. And did you know that the ones made in Australia have a deeper choclate taste than the ones made here in America? At least they did last time my friend brought me back a package.

M&Ms for me as well, but I have never had that sort of smartie.. the ones here are not chocolate covered...

I prefer M&M's. I like the variety, Plain, peanut, almond.
They even do festive holiday packs for Chrismas (red and green) and Easter ( yellow and purple).

I like them both, equally. I do like the extra chocolate factor of the M&M's though! I prefer the peanut or almond M&M's or Glossettes peanuts.
