Most biscuits in the UK have small holes in the tops, are they for any particular reason or just for a prety pattern?

The problem I have is that Mcdonalds and Burger King charge much higher prices for motorway services. It is not as if it is the distance for delivieries as they charge the same price in Inverness as they do in Penzance ( you can tell I get about a bit). Is it becasue the staff have to get there on a motorway? I have to drive to my work so that should not be an issue either? And I bet the staff get paid the same as city or town ones. Is this not just the fat cats making more money with a captive market and should it be illegal and be looked at by the monopolies commission?

Hi

I would like to go to a good restaurant, but I have not done it before and would like some tips.

Any tips from the beginning to the end would be much appreciated. From having you coat taken to paying of tips. I know this is very general and restaurants are differnet and I know I should relax and enjoy, but I think I would be better able to make a choice and enjoy once I've had some advise. I'm from the UK, South East and will be going to London next month - any recommended eating places?

Thanks.

It was very popular in the 50's and 60's. I believe it was named a "Seven Up" bar or something simliar. It had seven segments, each containing different flavours. Chocolate, cherry, vanilla, maple, etc., and one last part contained a Brazil nut. The whole bar was coated with a layer of chocolate. Anyone know if it's still out there to buy and where?
