they're there to keep blisters or big empty spaces from forming while the biscuits bake. they give the air contained in the dough a way out when it expands during the baking.

and besides, it keeps the calorie count down, see, the calories leak out via these holes. Plus, it gives the melted butter plenty of surface space so you can put on MORE of it. (Nods solemnly)

the two between the quadratics may well be factored f(x) = [(x-3)(x+2)]/[(x-3)(x-a million)] Then the element (x-3) cancels out, leaving you with f(x) = (x+2)/(x-a million) At x = a million the denominator is going to 0 on an identical time as the numerator is going to 3, so which you have a vertical asymptote at x = a million. as |x| -> ? f(x) -> a million so this is the horizontal asymptote. At x=3 the unique function went to 0 in the two the numerator and denominator. that's what's called a hollow. notwithstanding, the lim x->3 f(x) = 5/2 is definitely defined. be conscious additionally that the function has a root (i.e. a place the place it is going to 0) at x = -2.

Holes in biscuits are silly. It's just a waste of space where there could have been more biscuit.

polos have holes in them so if they get stuck and you choke on them you don't suffocate because air can still get into your lungs via the hole. Guess biscuits are the same but for people with bigger mouths?
