I'm going to a costume party event this evening and I would like to bring my host and hostess something Halloween-ish. The party is a large event that is being catered with a DJ and bartender. I was thinking of bringing a Pumpkin and "dressing" it up with glitter and curling ribbons hanging from the stem. Is this an OK hostess gift or do you guys have any better ideas? Remember that the party is being catered so bringing a dish is out of the question.

When entertaining, as guest are arriving at your home for your latest shindig. Make them swallow a plastic numbered disk (penny size) and mark it off against the guests name. Now if someone pukes up on your carpet later in the evening, with a quick glance at the number, the person responsible for the technicolour yawn can be handed a mop. Would this work?

I'm a VERY young, single mom throwing the first birthday for my daughter whose turning 4 BY MYSELF and im scared and nervous! Her them is BRATZ (finally, after three changes of mind a day!). Well, the boys arent going to want pink BRATZ goody bags, so ... should I do a boys theme for the goody bags like a super hero? Or should I just use generic or clear bags? Wont it be kinda weird if there are two themes? Also, my daughter likes a lot of the boy themes too (superman, spiderman, cars, etc.) I don't want them to argue about who gets what BUT I ALREADY BOUGHT EVERYTHING BRATZ SO I CAN'T CHANGE THE THEME!! .... lol Please help! :)

So that may be about 4 pizzas each, which pizza place should I order from? I would really appreicate some help! thanks

Rather than have a wedding cake, my partner and I would like to have a 'cheese fountain' made - stacked high with different cheeses, fruits, nuts etc - for our wedding. We've heard of someone else having this done and as my partner is diabetic, it makes more sense for us since he can't eat the cake! I'm looking for someone in the Greater Manchester (UK) area who might be able to make something like this.

The fact that sugar cubes dissolve I think could be a good principle for something which is quite jolly. Like a ship or something that floats about and disappears. Or a platform that holds something up and then it collapses in. Hmm. what do you think? You can be my business partner if you can come up with a good one.

My husband has to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.We are getting together with his family to open presents up(which is around 7-8am) and I would like to have a breakfast set up for the family. What could I make that is simple that doesn't require a lot of fuss as we will be going back home so he can sleep the day away while the rest of the family will be off for Christmas Dinner.
Any suggestions will be helpful.
