The fact that sugar cubes dissolve I think could be a good principle for something which is quite jolly. Like a ship or something that floats about and disappears. Or a platform that holds something up and then it collapses in. Hmm. what do you think? You can be my business partner if you can come up with a good one.

In keeping with the Holiday spirit, you could get a styrofoam cone from a craft store -- hot glue the cubes on to look like a Christmas tree. Put a star on top and use as a centerpiece for your table. Or make a decorative holiday wreath adding cranberries and holly. :-)

You can make into a pyramid or buildings (just like lego.) Or, go for a guinness book of record- get ppl from your town together and line-up those sugar cubes. Art- scuplture made of sugar cubes. :)

what if could individually food color them and then hold together with toothpicks to resemble a rubics cube

String a bunch of them together on a cord or string and jam them up your ***. The fizzle as they dissolve is neat.

i've never tried it, but maybe put some kind of food coloring or spray paint them with food paint.
