i'm not talking about strippers. i'm talking about a company where you hire people to dress up for a kid's party/theme party: Cinderella, Magician.

I need to hire people for there era:

50's, 60's and 70's

Money isn't really an issue. She wants a ton of people there, so I was thinking of renting a banquet room at a hotel--

I live near Long Beach-- What are some of the nicer hotels in the area??

What are some other good ideas?

I was thinking of hiring people, from one of those character-companies, to dress up like each era of her life-- 50's, 60's, etc.

I don't know what their purpose would be though....

Any other ideas or websites?

Should the main course meal already be completed so you have time to socalize (keeping warm in the oven)? Or do you leave your guests to finish off the main meal? What is the best way?

I'm hosting a home interior party on Saturday and I am going to be serving a light lunch. I thought the ordinary sandwich, chips, pretzels and fruit salad would be fine but I think it will be too plain. What could I make so none of the ladies will feel weighed down and is tasty?

I am hosting a party for my daughters first birthday. A few people I send out invites to never RSVP's by the date. I never know if they are coming or not. They often just show up even though they never return my calls. What can I put on the invite to politly asking for an RSVP so I do not have to call them? I like to make sure I have enough foods or prizes.

I’m having an hors d’oeurves/buffet dinner party for my husband. I usually always serve kid friendly food, but this time I want to serve more “sophisticated” food – food that most small kids won’t eat. I thought about ordering the kids a pizza. Is this rude? Would I be offending anyone by insinuating that the kids can’t eat the grown-up food, and should eat pizza instead?

P.S. – And, no, I can’t make it an “adults only” party.

I am going to take pictures at a local castle and have the pics blown up. I was wondering if anybody has some good table centerpiece ideas besides flowers.
