well sort of , serve a variety of cheese , breads and crackers. often at cheese tastings they will Serve a sorbet( like a fruity ice) and often garnish with grapes and strawberries to cleanse the palette, as some cheeses are very ripe. If you serve on small trays at different times always start will least flavorful and work your way up to strongest. Have fun and enjoy. Remember always start party after a meal time and specify cheese and wine so your geusts don't arrive hungry for a meal. I feel people love to wine and cheese.

Go to a good wine store, get some recommendations on what goes good with different cheeses. If I were throwing this party, I'd also get a variety of fruit and high quality, thinly sliced meats such as prosciutto and salami.

You need to get one type of good red wine...it's usually what goes good with cheese...but if you know some of guests prefer white wine you should get some.
You should get French cheese : brie or camembert, Chevre (french goat cheese), Roquefort (blue cheese), gruyere, rambole aux herbes...etc
you can have a plate of cold cuts too if you like: ham, salami, smoked turquey, smoked salmon...
If you have a fondue machine or raqulette machine, use them.
Get French baguette bread and cut them into thick slices.

Yep.

Everyone was drunk and farty.

No, no...

Drunk and *constipated*. (The next day.)

Didn't matter what we used for cheeses or wine.
