my man is alcoholic but doesn't want to admit it...?

he just started drinking 8 months ago and now he drinks 6 days a week at least half bottle of vodka everyday on the weekend he can drink up to 2 bottles or more, i am trying to take him to the doctor but he won't, he was sick quite a few times..what can i do to help him? and how bad can his health be ? what problems does alcohol cause?

Is It Hard To Give Up Alcohol??

I'm not an alcoholic, I only drink on a Fri and Sat nights. However Its become a really bad habit more than anything. I've been doing it for about 10 years and in all honesty haven't had 1 weekend in that period where I haven't had a drink.

How do I reduce bitterness in my homebrewed beer during or after fermentation ?

I put too much hop extract in my fermentation bin by accident before adding the yeast!!! (I know I should have added the hop at the end of the fermentation but I messed up) and I am scared the batch will come out pretty bitter. Is there any way to neutralise the hop or adjust the taste before it's too late? I don't suppose the yeast will chew up the hop during fermentation. Today it's the second day of my fermentation. Thanx in advance !!!

Ever drink an illegal alcohol?

I had Passoa, which is only sold in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Because the flower that serves as the base root for this neon pinky-orange concoction is a known aphrodesiac, it is not widely spread (except in countries that remain very open about sexuality). AND IT REALLY WORKS PEOPLE! The alcohol content is not much-about 20%-but man, does it work wonders. I snuck a bottle back here from France, and needless to say, I made a lot of people on my campus happy. The guy at the airport liquor store (when I asked where the Passoa was) definitely sprung to life, and hurled me right over to the section. I know there is a Jamaican overproof rum that you need a special permit to bring back to this country...but, anyone else ever encounter such a wonderful drink as this?

Is all wine made out of red grapes?

I read somewhere that red wine is red because red grapes are used to make it with the skin still intact, and that white wine is white because the skin is removed and only the inside of the grape is used. This led me to think, are there no wines made from green grapes? Technically, I would assume green grapes could be processed just like red grapes, with the skin and made ito wine....green wine or something like that... I"m curious to find this out.

Does anyone know of any good purple colored coctails? Preferably without raspberry liquor?

In an effort to save money on alcohol for our wedding reception, we've decided to only have beer, wine, and one fun coctail, which i would like to be la relatively light purple since that's our primary color. Any good ideas? Please include recipe with your answer if you have it.

How can I smuggle beer into a festival?

Does anyone have any idea's how to successfully smuggle alcohol into a festival? I've got tickets to Leeds Festival 07 and last time I went (05) you weren't allowed to take any drinks into the main arena, and pat every1 down and search all bags!! Now do you see the dilemma?

I can only image that the prices have increased so any idea's would be welcome!

Baking soda as a chaser?

Howdy. I'm trying to figure out how to down this cheap vodka in front of me, and I've no answers. I've mixed it with gatorade, and while this helps slightly, the booze is still pretty repulsive. Drinking the booze as shots, I can't get past 2 shots before I'm ready to puke. Then it hit me: baking soda neutralizes acid; might it help de-acidify my vodka and make it less agitating? Before I try this, I'm hoping for an answer... for all I know baking soda mixed with vodka will kill me. XD Cheers!

should underaged children be allowed to drink alcoholic drinks under parent's supervision?

do u think they should be allowed, at home or in pubs, where parents make sure their kids don't get drunk? or do u think that children should not be exposed to alcohol at all?
