I think I was about that same age; however, I'd been educated about drinking, came from a household that didn't drink and (more than anything) didn't much care to get into trouble by doing it. I don't think drinking is wrong, by any means - I just think you have to be sure to use common sense. Have a limit for yourself; be aware of the laws, especially as regard driving under the influence; make sure that you are never in a position to harm someone else if you drink, including yourself. Know the harm you can do to yourself, but don't go overboard with caution. I do suggest waiting until you are legal to drink, wherever you are; it's just a lot less hassle that way.

Like smoking, I think it's one of those things that is pretty foolish to do just because somebody thinks it's "cool" - when it's something you're ready for, I think you'll know it. Meanwhile, don't worry about it - stuff like this pretty much takes care of itself if you take a sensible attitude toward it.

They shouldnt be drinking, isnt the legal age like 21 in america?? well anyway nobody cares if its illegal or not ... i'm 13, 14 in late may, i'm a bit curious about drinking, but not that much, like theres only beer and wine around the house which my parents drink, sometimes if i feel like it i will have a sip of wine (like every month or so), they dont notice coz thats when theyre not home and its already opened .. i cant try the beer cos then i'd have to open the bottle.... i want to try drinks like vodka, barcadi breezers etc , but i dont see that happening in the near future, not till im at least 18 anyway, im not interested in drinkin, it tastes bad , and theres nothing good about it, maybe ur friends just drink it to look 'cool', but really they shouldnt be drinking, its only natural to be curious tho. U should discourage them to drink, tell them about the dangers(which u can research on the net), if they dont listen then i gess u cant stop them, but if theyre drunk every day or something and its affecting school work and everything u should tell their parents , they should know about it and try and get help for your friends . U shouldnt feel pressured to drink, if someone eva pressures u then just say no , if u feel like u want to try it then just have a sip or something , but dont drink the whole bottle or anything. just remember dont do anything u dont want to and just coz your friends are drinking it doesnt mean u should - they still like u right? just be yourself, the time u have an alcoholic drink will come, take all the time u want

Well ia m 14..im not saying anything about me, but i think persoanlly that it is ok to drink a bit once in a while, at a party or whatever, but there is no reason to get drunk every weekend, or go crazy. Even once a month is quite a lot. Yo uwill have time to do that when you are older, plus it is different for everyone-if you dont want to do it just dont.
Seriously shcools always say about peer pressure and just say no, but is it really that hard? i ,ean, i dont know anyone whos had the micky taken/got beaten up or whatever beacuse they dont drink or beacuse they said no!
some people our age are on the way to being alcoholics, i know someone in my year has a beer every night. thats a bit ott for a 14 yr old...
plus dont get to the point where you cant have a good time without alcohol. then you know you ahve gone too far.
ok well i hope that clears things up a bit...but really it is up to you. Dont do anything dangerous! But if you really want to try it, dont go out when you are 18 and get out of your head, and end up doing something stupid just cos you ahve never done it before...

I started at about that age also. That's something kids are going to do with cigarettes, drugs and drinking. But just try it once or twice and leave it the hell alone.
I got caught drunk when I was 13. (Taking a leak in the middle of a 4 lane highway!) The judge probably saved my life. She sentenced me to two weekends (Night shift) in the ER of a rather large hospital in South Florida!
I'm not going to lie to you and say that I never drank after that, but I never forgot the carnage that drugging and drinking can cause!
You get good judgment from life's experiences, good ones and bad ones. Drinking effects your judgment. The less experience you have, the worse alcohol will mess up your judgment.

Be Careful, So you can have kids to worry about someday too!

Hi Little One
I begin at age 12 or 13 and wasted a lot of time chasing the dragon . I had Attention Deficiency Disorder and but back then no body understood what it was and I sort of fell between the cracks stated to drink hard Liqueur @ 14 ,ninth grad smoking dope that my older brother got me high and kept me supplied and I smoked i was in my own little world and pushing though my insecuity with people.
Every body is insecure and" A path of least resistance creates cooked rivers and crooked people."
so I went on and lost my mind had a little sex My mom put on birth control .she couldnt cope with cope with her fearas the best way to avoid any posabilit of a unwanted pregnancy. She said "this is nit a liesnce to have sex" but all that did was confuse me and fuled my alcoholism
. Have you ever heard the saying
" Insatant friends, just add alcohol "as away to fit in.
I drank for 8 yrs and tried to stop for 6 yrs I was hooked and to drink I no longer had a choise
"First the man takes a drink ,then the drink tacks the man"
!!
That is why We have laws against under age drinking for a very good reason.
ALCOLCHL IS A DEPRESSENT.!!It stunts your growth Memtaly and phyicly and emotioaly

your central nervous system is still developing Until your 19.
Stay away from it as much as possible. Make a stand, and let them know you respect your self -,and ypur class mates,
and underclassmen ,
thay look up to you and will copy what you do. Tell them we all need to be good role models.Ask your favorite teachers or dean or school counselor about WHAT kind of responsible actions they have to offer on under age drinking and alcoholism in underage drinkiers.
You should always break the ice with a offering like a complement and a inspirational statment , like," I want to tell you how much I addmire you and your commitment to the education of our student body and how much we All say nice thingings about ,him or her to each other and your parents". Teachers know thir are preformance effects can make huge imprestion on your daily and for the rest of your life and expect you to do well
They need to hear A WORD OF ENCOURGEMENT EVERYDAY, Just like you do BECAUSE YOUR TEACHERS NEED TO FEEL THEY ARE MACKING A REAL DIIFERANCE IN YOUR LIFE . lET THEM KNOW WHEN THEY SAY SOMETHING RIGHT, IT EFFECTS YOUR SELF ESTEEM AND GIVES YOU CONFIDENCE
The teachers who are there want you ti have a well rounded education. bUT PRESSURE TO MEET CERTAIN requrements of the state' to pass test you on what the state dictates and it really drives theme insane so remember when your teacher yells at you it is not her fault she just whants you to learn as fast as possable, and as much as you can. Because tOur current school system is system is broke and it is only duming down our public schools .Only the people who can afford privet school will stay in power and keep the lower and middel class dummed down in poverty-+ Thay have money the education to make sure thir family is in the top 10 percental of commerce and socity By the way in prievet school they have 3-4 hours of home work every night and wont ever complain, because the parents wont let them get away with slacker mentallty.
Our parents are so busy working two full time jobs just to make car payment bills and what not they are job bound and much of there time off is for recovery at home and rarely get enoug sleep.
Tas testing is the most backward movement in human aside from seperation or school and religin.
WE need to succeed. Teachers know so much more than any body could ever give them them credit for. just ask them they will confirm this truth, if they have dismantaled popular mind set. Yhey are human and have been though a lot to get there crdentials Your teachers are pulling for all of you and would be disapointed if you lost your motivation and and became self destuctive.
