Hydrogen peroxide will do it with no ill effects to your pants. They will come out like new. Pour peroxide directlt on stain and rub with clean damp cloth, wash, and they look brand new.

Last night there was hope, today probably not. You can wash in cold water and bleach them but that may spot them or change color. Red wine is tough. You have to treat it immediately and then it may not work. A new spill? -try club soda

I heard just to use baking powder and a little soda water to make a paste. Put this one the stain and keep it moist with a spray bottle for at least half a hour or more. Then wash it as usual and the stain should come out.

Soak it good in Spray n Wash and then just let them sit for 30 minutes or so before washing. When you do wash them, use warm water. Check them before you dry them to see if the stain came out. If it didn't, do the Spray n Wash treatment again. Do not dry the pants with a stain on them.

Best of luck! I've gotten lipstick stains out this way when I accidentally left it in my pocket.

Wash them in warm water. If it doesn't go away, then get one of those stain removing liquids available from a supermarket or convenience store.
