I had Passoa, which is only sold in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Because the flower that serves as the base root for this neon pinky-orange concoction is a known aphrodesiac, it is not widely spread (except in countries that remain very open about sexuality). AND IT REALLY WORKS PEOPLE! The alcohol content is not much-about 20%-but man, does it work wonders. I snuck a bottle back here from France, and needless to say, I made a lot of people on my campus happy. The guy at the airport liquor store (when I asked where the Passoa was) definitely sprung to life, and hurled me right over to the section. I know there is a Jamaican overproof rum that you need a special permit to bring back to this country...but, anyone else ever encounter such a wonderful drink as this?

Drank some unregulated absinthe (bad idea and BAD hangover the next day, but an unregrettable experience) and some unregulated "maekong" (Thai whiskey) but those were legal in the countries where I drank them. At least, I could get them in the store without much worries.
The only illegal thing was some "mountain dew", a.k.a. moonshine in the hills of the Appalachians in the U.S. Wow.
I've seen knock-off passoa before, but never had it. Do you know if it is legal in any Asian nations?

I have drank moonshine but do not think they made enough to be illegal. In Korea I drank some Chinese Whiskey and it was bad! It had stuff floating in it.

Moonshine and I've drank Absinthe. That's about as crazy as I've gotten in my day, but that stuff doesn't sound too shabby.

Drank hooch or moonshine many many times but never thought it wonderful. It was just cheap and available.
