I am going up north to Traverse City, Michigan this weekend and want some new drink ideas. I like Malibu, Parrot Bay, Rums, really good vodka, grape, fruit juices, basically really fruity fufu drinks. haha. Hate cherry, spicy, hazelnut and raspberry flavors. Any frilly drink ideas?

I'm brewing stout and the satellite fermenter has developed a thin layer of white stuff and there is some brown stuff on top of that layer. I see the yeast working and there are lots of bubble coming up. The actual fermenter has been bubbling in the airlock for 3 days, and has slowed since the second day. How can I tell if there is mold and is it safe to drink if moldy?

I've just read this story on Yahoo. Apparently wine drinkers are more likely to have a helath diet than beer drinkers. A study in Copenhagen showed that:

'People who bought wine at the store were also more likely to buy more olives, fruits and vegetables, fish, lean meats and dairy products than beer consumers did, said the study.

Beer buyers were more likely to buy frozen dinners, cold cuts, pork, mutton, crisps, sugary products, butter, margarine and soft drinks.'

Do you agree or beg to differ?

For some reason I am ridiculously prone to hangovers, but the strange thing is that they never seem in proportion to the amount I drink, or even which types of alcohol I consume. While I've been unsuccessful at preventing or predicting when a hangover will rear its ugly face - sometimes I'll get one from having a few beers at happy hour, while other unlikely times, say, New Year's Day, I'll wake up feeling great. I basically spend the whole next day between the bathroom and my bed. I can't keep anything down and don't start to feel better until around 6:00pm. Does anyone have any suggestions for miracle hang over cures?
