For some reason I am ridiculously prone to hangovers, but the strange thing is that they never seem in proportion to the amount I drink, or even which types of alcohol I consume. While I've been unsuccessful at preventing or predicting when a hangover will rear its ugly face - sometimes I'll get one from having a few beers at happy hour, while other unlikely times, say, New Year's Day, I'll wake up feeling great. I basically spend the whole next day between the bathroom and my bed. I can't keep anything down and don't start to feel better until around 6:00pm. Does anyone have any suggestions for miracle hang over cures?

I get these hangover sometimes after having only 2 or 3 beers. Consumption is not always the problem.

The cure for hangovers is not what you do in the morning and the day after, but what you do before you go to bed. I always take a once a day vitamin (centrum, etc) before i head to bed. I have the bottle right next to my night stand. This gives the body the body nutruients on what was taken out during the drinking process. Also, make sure you drink a glass or two of water.

How about not drinking quite so much???? Since you've already discovered that you have doozy's the morning after, maybe you can do some preventative medicine and simply cut down on your consumption! Here's one of my post-partying breakfasts:

1. Coffee
2. Orange juice with Sparkling Water and two aspirins
3. Breakfast potatoes: cheesey scallopped potatoes with
bacon and extra cheese
4. Sweet rolls with icing
5. More coffee
6. Lots of water
7. A good nap

You should know already not to drink on an empty stomach and try to drink plenty of water.Hangovers are partially due to dehydration and it is my understanding that the rule of thumb is to drink an 8-oz glass of water for every 2 alcholic drinks.Even if this doesn't keep u hydrated it will slow your intake of liquor throughout the night. Also try a night of only clear liquors like vodka or gin,see if that causes less pain.

My husband learned to do this not too long ago and lives by it: he wakes up about 2 hours before he is due to get up and drinks a glass full of Pedialite (any flavor) and goes back to bed. When he gets up at the regular time, he is as good as new!

Coffee, stick with half caff, otherwise you'll be all jittery throughout the day. The effects are best on an empty stomach, and when drank pretty continuously. It is my go to. Also, I try and make it the night that I am going out- then when you stumble around the next morning you only need to push one botton!!!

Berocca these are vitamin B tablets...they work great.Vitamin B and water will have you feeling better....either that or start drinking again. hahaha. The other way that really does work is to throw up all that is in your stomach before bed....that way no more alcohol will be absorbed while you are asleep. make sure you drink water afterwards though

Sure. Stop drinking alcohol. You may have an allergy to something in the alcohol or you may be experiencing alcohol poisoning.

I would think a sure fire cure to prevent hangovers would definitely be to avoid alcohol. Guaranteed to work!!

Drink water before bed.
Drink more water or Gatorade in the morning.
Eat something light.
Go sweat it out at the gym.

Works for me. (by the way, I never take asprin or anything like that)

I recommend eating chilaquiles for breakfast-- either that or any spicy egg breakfast. Also, grapefruit. Wash it down with a glass of seltzer water with some salt and lime juice in it.
