at thirteen the liver might not be able to take on the amount of alcohol in the beer that an adult could take on. This could cause small poisoning of the brain after each drink. That ain't good no matter how you spin it. Could cause scirosis of the liver

Drinking at any age can be harmful. I am 22, and this is my answer. People are going to tell u , and critize you being a teenager but many of them probably tried alchol as a teen too and are being harmful instead of helpful. HOw often your friend drinks and how much is a very im portant thing as well. Do they drink socially are theydrinking every weekend? or have they just tried these drinks. If your friend is got you worried you probably have cause for concern. If they have just tried these substances while they are really bad it is probably just a peer pressure thing . Try talking to your friend, if it is really bad consult an adult, their parents, is this kid drinking after school or on weekends. follow your instinct if you think your friend has a problem they probably do. Watch them don't turn your back on them. your friend could get alcohol poisioning. If your friend has recently changed groups of friend if they have lost intrest in things they normally do that could be a clear indication of a problem. if u need to talk to someone sweetmsgirl22@aol.com

The old, I have a friend question. Yeah, sure you do. Anyways yes it can be harmful to your body. You can end up being an alcoholic and that's no fun plus alcohol ruins your liver. Why did you start in the the first place? Things can't be that bad for you. Stop drinking and talk to someone about whats bothering you b/c it can cause alot of problems and it won't solve the problems that you have now.

Yes -- if she's a girl then she's especially dim-witted.

Womens' bodies have a harder time processing alcohol. Furthermore, alcohol is a drying agent which means it will dry out her skin and hair. For cosmetic reasons alone she should drop the booze since she'll be looking twice her age in no time. It might sound cool to look older now but by 20 she'll be looking 35 and that's just gross. (Not to mention it's not very lady-like)....

Drinking at that tender age is a BIG no no. Your friend is on the road to hart ache and despair. Tell her elders about it and do her a favor. Yeah she'll be pissed but that wears off a life of loss doesn't. Do the right thing.

Of course it does. Thirteen is too young to start any bad adult habits! Alcohol being up there with the worst. Just don't do it. PS: your friend AIN'T cool.

I personally think that yea it would because, when you are young, your body is still changing so it will damage the body more than a middle aged person.
