hi, i live in the us for 6 months now and i am shocked by the fear of alcohol. I am from Europe where you can buy beers at the age of 16 and we don't have any problem with that. Why is the drinking age so high? is it cuz the ''beliefs'' of the bible?i say that cuz i saw that soooooo many people believe in god (what is pretty rare in Europe).

Bye.

How can you tell wines apart? Is there certain names for a dry wine? Whats the name for a sweet wine? When I go to the store to buy some wine, how can I tell what I am buying? I am new to this.

Thanks for your time.

I like vodka and coke. Cool and fizzy, and the hangover goes away. I know I'm an alcoholic, so you "Ladies' Temperence Society" types can butt out.

Just been watching Beerfest and in light of recently having my heart broken I think I'm going to be doing some drinking (I know it's not the best idea but it's only temporary)

So how do you do it? For glasses and bottles?

Skunked beer is caused when ultraviolet light reacts with the hops acids in the beer. It is not caused by old beer. It is not caused by storing the beer warm.

It is caused by UV light only!

Now here's my question: Where are you idiots getting your stupid information from about skunked beer?

I have recently been befriended by some people who love wine and actually take vacations specifically for wine! I don't want to sound ignorent around them. Is wine something you can study?

I'm not a big beer drinker and I'm having a party. I want to know if there is one brand of beer that is universally accepted, or if I should buy different brands to keep everyone happy.

Which brand or brands are most popular right now?

I'm doing a project for health class, and to do something different, I'd like to do a presentation stating that some beer is healthier than others. Does anyone have any CREDIBLE statements with sources that I could use. For example: Draft beer over Bottled because it contains less preservatives, or Unfiltered because it has more vitmans. Or Microbrews or Sam Adams because it follows the purity laws rather than mass market beers that contain toxins and fillers like Corn & Rice.... Give me something I can actually use!
