Beer, Wine & Spirits - December 2006

At the ABC store, my friend was allowed to buy alcohol the day before his 21st Birthday but, his birthday fell on a Sunday. I wasn't sure if it was only because they're closed on Sunday's that he was allowed to purchase it the day before or if that is a policy they have everyday of the week.

It doesn't matter if I eat before drinking, while I'm drinking, after I drank or even if I skipped eating before drinking... it never fails, I always end up with my head in the toilet early in the a.m.!! I don't understand why, but maybe someone has suggestions or things that you've tried! HELP!

i have just cloned the first human, in my living room aided by 16 cans of special brew, do you think i should put the extras on and make it a bloke so we can go to the pub and have a game of darts and a few beers, or a woman so she can do ironing and domestic duties ( no sex, got the girlie i met in the sex shop for that)

I had a really lovely drink of Passoa and Pineapple juice at a friend's once and since then I've been after a bottle of Passoa. It was sooooooooo yummy! I've looked every time I've been in Sainsbury's and Tescos but have always been unsuccessful! Does anyone know where I can buy it in the UK? Desperate for it!
My friend moved away to Canada and I lost contact with her so I can't ask her where she got it from unfortuanately.

Just out of interest...has anyone else ever had this drink? What did you think of it? (It's alcoholic by the way)

I make my own wine, and make it in batches of about 20 gallon. Sometimes, there is too much, way too much of a yeasty taste and smell. Am i using too much yeast or is it something else?
I only use one packet per batch. (approx 1.5 tbsp I think) Thanks.

My birthday is coming up and I am looking for a particular Sangria recipe which I have lost. It was the best I have ever tasted.
I think it was from one of the Coles Christmas special magazines, but I can't be sure. However, I am fairly certain it was from a magazine.
It had Rose wine and Brandy, I think, and it used sugar syrup and lemonade, and I think it had apple, lime and berries. Something like that.
Any help would be much appreciated, even you just have a similar recipe.

any one else have this problem or am I just wierd. Everyone else I drink with does not have this problem so I am usually up hours before anyone else. If there is still alcohol left I'll start drinking again which usually puts me out for a couple more hours
