Yes it is -even for top shelf rum. But, if you're willing to pay it,
they will do it. It really depends upon how nice the club is and
where they are located. If the club or the bar is in a popular area
when large crowds go during the weekend, chances are the
prices will be higher.

I've paid anywhere from $2.00-$6.50 depending upon the day of
the week and the establishment. Look for happy hours, and if
you can get to know the bartender, may he or she will either cut
you a deal (use your credit card and leave the tab open) or give
you a better drink. Tipping well doesn't hurt matters either. ;-)

I'd say it depends on where it is (and to a lesser extent, what brand the Rum is). It sounds pretty outrageous for most places, but I think at a club and/or in the city, it sounds about what you'd pay.

A premium rum might also cost $8 at a bar, but your basic stuff (i.e. Bacardi) should run you about $5 at a typical bar.

It depends on where you are at (downtown, popular area). But for the most part yes. I only pay $4.75 and that is with good rum. Mybe you are getting the high quality rum.

Yes I do. I generally pay anywhere from $2.50-$4.00 for a Captain Morgan or Bacardi drink when I go out.

The bartender would be missing strands of hair if it were left to me, but really, I am a nice girl most of the time.
