Beer, Wine & Spirits - December 2006

What is the MAIN differences between lagers, stouts, and ales. I know a little but about how beer is made so you don't have to dumb it up for me, and also I don't want it to be too technical just a broad description of what is used to make each type and how each is made.

my very first cigarette i inhaled was newports 4 years ago. most people would cough but i only got really dizzy but didnt even cough a bit, how wierd is that? i always thought it was because i was always around smokers eversince i was little because literally almost my entire family smokes. newports are crazy stuff lol its like they put something in it when they make it so that once you start smoking newports its hard to switch to a different brand. newports just makes me feel so good expecially when you wake up and have a morning cigarette with coffee, you inhale that first puff and you just let out a nice big relieving sigh. but i hate it sometimes when you can't finish a full cigarette because it makes you run to the bathroom.... lol...i also HATE it when people start the whole "you shouldnt smoke because.....etc" WE WERE NOT BORN YESTERDAY!! newports are the best lol. anyone agree?? if not, what brand cigarettes do you smoke and why do you like it? i want to hear your story =)

We are going to a holiday party where we have to provide our own drinks. I was thinking of making a type of punch or jungle juice to bring in a large cooler. Any recipes (within reason) will be considered. Alcoholic only please! Thanks.

I just found out that a lot of kids in my grade drink beer! I always knew that kids smoked and did drugs, but i never knew that they got drunk! I'm 14, in 9th grade and VERY confused!

Personally, I believe that alcohol simply removes a person's inhibitions and drunkenness only brings out what was there already.

I just took a gander at a type of cooking wine in my fridge. It has a 17% alcohol content and is only 1.5 percent salt. For every two tablespoons there is 180mg worth of salt. This is less than the amount of salt in a tablespoon of soda. Why then, can I not use it to get drunk?

Please take me seriously im not trying to be stupid.Everyyear I go to some kind of event(wedding,Christmas Eve,Adult+older cousin partys)and Ill see beer,champagne,and red wine,what can all of that do to a 13 year old.and im not saying all at one time lol.But individualt what could happen.

and no not the entire bottle or can maybe like a 8-12oz amount.

Just curiosity im not tempted or anything.
