I buy Wild Turkey Bourbon 100 proof for the kick. Bourbons and whiskeys are the best to me.
Rum on occasion,
Gin and Squirt ONLY. Tastes like pinecones.
Vodka - Never - first alcohol I got drunk on.
Brandy - occasionally, but warmed in a snifter.

Whiskey- Seagrams 7 crown. 7 and 7 anyone? Around $11 a 750ml
Rum- Gotta go Captain Morgan. The best and only $14 a bottle.
Gin- Tanqueray. Ready to Tanqueray?
Vodka- Smirnoff. New York Times blind tasting winner over the likes of Goose,Belvedere, Ketel One, etc. and less than half the price of those $30+ premeium versions. Hope this helps.

Whiskey-Black Velvet
Rum-dont drink it too much, but I vaguely remember a captain morgan knockoff called admiral nelson or something like that, it was real cheap but still tasted fine
Gin-disgusting
Vodka-overall best value i would say Philips VODKA (about $10/liter, and goes down smooth), if you dont care about taste at all and just wanna get drunk as cheap as possible buy Karkov.
as for brandy, i rarely drink it.

When I had a four fifth a night habit I used to drink Dobra or Takka vodka or Ezra Brooks whiskey but loved four bottles of Jeigermeister that got me in the most trouble.

define "best value".
Do you mean the very cheapest beverage in its category, or the best quality/price ratio?
The former will likely give you horrible hooch, but a cheap drunk, the latter is of course subjective to personal taste.

You can't go wrong with Skyy vodka. It's the cheapest of the premium vodkas and has a smooth taste.

you get more bounce per ounce from tequila. That stuff will wipe you out before you know what happened to you. if you want a good cheap whiskey go for cc Canadian club.

2/3 of one liter everclear mixed with one gallon apple juice and 1 liter of apple cider and 3 cinnamon sticks. Check the everclear website.
