Are hallucinogenic effects a myth? I know that wormwood is a prime ingredient. Does anyone have any recipes, as I have heard absinthe sold online from other countries has little, if any effect. Oh, and personal experiences would be wonderful.

I turned 21 last March. Since then, I've done a decent amount of drinking. While I've never been terribly drunk, I do enjoy social drinking. I can tell pretty well by feel how intoxicated I am and how in control of myself I am (my opinions in retrospect tend to match my previous opinions of my state in the moment). However, here's my problem. In New Jersey, a DWI charge goes for a BAL of 0.08 or greater. I have no idea how drunk this is; for all I know it could be more than twice as drunk as I've ever been, or half as much. I know that if I get pulled over with a BAL of 0.08 or more, the "I felt fine" excuse won't fly in court. Aside from my own judgement call about how capable of driving I feel I am, how can I authoritatively tell whether my BAL is legal or not before getting behind the wheel?
