i recently turned vegetarian, and theres this snotty girl in my class who is obsessed with meat! she thinks she knows it all and i need a comeback to say to her when she tells me it is unhealthy to cut meat out of your diet. and also if anyone has any good places i can find out what junk foods are suitable for vegetarians, it would be greatly appreciated!!

ok so i just finnished putting all my ingredients into the blender with the yougurt and all and on the inside of the lid i found this little whitish kinda greenish fuzzy stuff (mould)

so i decided not to use the lid, then i discovered on the inside, at the rim area there was a tiny bit of mould there.

i wondered if there was mould at the botom in the inside but i already put the ingredients in so i just decided to mix it after i cleaned the rim.

i have the smoothie in the freezer right now(i like it super cold ) (after i poured it there was no sign of mould)

should i eat it?

i really want it, i used the last of the ingredients.

I know to mix dry and wet ingredients separately and to not overmix. I got this recipe online which sounded good but the batter gets too thick - the outside gets cooked but the inside is rather goopy. Seems I need a whole lot more liquid, but can a recipe be that far off? Or do you have a better pumpkin pancake recipe?? Thanks!!!

1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2T brown sugar
1T baking powder
1-1/2 t pumpkin spice
1 t salt
1-3/4 milk
1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
1 egg
2T oil

In the 6 years that I have been married I have never made Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner. We always go to 3 dinners (my parents', my father-in-law's, and my mother-in-laws) This year we are going to out of town for Thanksgiving to visit my husband's Grandpa who lives alone and I am going to be cooking Thanksgiving Dinner. I am a little intimidated because I've never cooked a BIG meal with so many different things before. I'm not sure what to make or where to start so I would love to see what everyone else is doing to get some ideas.

So what do you usually make (or what are you planning to make) for Thanksgiving this year?

I'm having a dinner party and had planned to make chicken marsala, which uses wine. Now I find that one of the guests is a recovered alcoholic. I know that the alcohol evaporates in the cooking process, but I'm still concerned. Will it be "safe" to serve him this dish, or should I change my recipe?

Does anyone know any drinking toasts that you can say to another person...that you miss them...but its still a toast? I know that sounds confusing and if you need me to rephrase it I can. I miss someone a wholleeee lot and we only talk online and we take shots at the same time and dedicate toasts to eachother.

Does anyone out there know any toasts about missing someone? I will LOVE LOVE LOVVEEEE you for it.

I had some Chinese take out for dinner that made me feel really sick for the rest of the night. Do you think I can get a refund? I have the receipt and what I didn't eat.
