why do chinese people use wok pans when making foods why not use a regular pan? what difference wok n another pan???

Does anyone know the name of, or have a recipe for a greek meal without any peanuts? This is for a school project. My friend and I are deciding to not use any peanuts for people with allergies and are HOPING to get a delicious meal .. maybe with low fat?

Also .. we only have 50minutes to prepare this meal. Please help!!!

we usually have burger, chicken breasts,hot dogs and sirolin in freezer,
(also like shrimp,tuna,oxtail,cod and other meats)
rice pasta,greenbeans,peas,mushroom soup,chicken noodle soup,and tomatoe soup in pantry
buter,milk,chedder,parmesan,provolone,mustard,ketchup,eggs,carrots and celery in fridge.
main spices i use are garlic,cayenne,sea salt,pepper,dry mustard, and cumino
any ideas. i need to be able to go from prepartion to table in around 90 minutes
thank you for any suggestions

What are the purpose of animals? Are they put on the earth for our (humanity's) benefit? I am all for animal rights and their ethical treatment, but doesn't meat help us survive? I am trying to become a vegan based on ethical concerns, and I'm having a hard time with this. Any answers?

I don't understand this because my friend lives on a farm and has cows and chickens. She told me that if cows are not milked they will die. Why don't vegans drink milk if it is in no way harming the cow? I also don't understand what the point of not eating unfertilized eggs is. What else would happen to the eggs if people didn't eat them? Other animals would probably eat them, but that's the same as people eating them, because people are animals. Another thing I would like to point out is the fact that animals do indeed eat other animals, so why is it considered wrong for people to eat animals? Please no rude remarks because I am in no way meaning to insult anyone. I'm just confused.

I noticed at the top of the V&V section, where it says Top Contributers, that he changed his name (made me chuckle) so I clicked on his profile and he hasn't been around for a month. What the heck? I disagreed with him on a few things, but he was by far the most knowledgeable and helpful regular here (there are very close seconds so please don't get offended, Michael H et. al.) and it would be a shame if he were gone for good. I certainly hope the trolls didn't run him off. For every troll there's still five good people just looking for some info on a healthier, more compassionate diet.

I've got a bowl of angel food cake mix and one 8.5-inch loaf pan. The recipe says I should put 1/3 of the mix into that size pan. However, I'm quite bad at estimating thirds in cases like this, when stuff is in a single large bowl.

I don't want to end up with three uneven cakes. Any tips for measuring out what one-third of the batter would be?

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine... and those who don't.

In wine there is wisdom,in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli (E. coli)- bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run this risk when drinking wine & beer (or any alcohol in general due to the purifying process it goes through.)

Remember: Water=Poop, Wine= Health

Therefore, its better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of $hit.

I have and now i feel totally guilty - get down the gym i think tomorrow! Yesterday i had two chocolate bars, 2 small pieces of cake along with my meals, and today i have roast dinner and this evening a pizza delivered! (3 slices).

It is shaped like a red bull can, and it about 18 inches in diameter. There is a listing on ebay for the one that I am talking about. I have been using a rubber exercise ball (haha) as temporary insulation, but I would love to have the lid for it. Thank you!
