What are your theories? the scenario is.....

Drink tea with 1 sugar... the tea tastes sweet.

Eat something sweet before drinking tea with 1 sugar.... the tea doesn't taste sweet.

Surely the tea should taste sweeter or at least just as sweet ?

(Wotsits is brand of puffed cornmeal snack sold in the UK)

Over the years I've fed all manner of food to ducks. I've discovered there's only one food they won't eat: Wotsits. They never touch them. Even cheese flavour, universally acknowledged as the best.

Is this because they are instinctively sensing something deeply unwholesome about it?

And why? Mine has to be Courvoisier and coke. In only three words, a customer indicates a total lack of sophistication, difficulty in cutting them off, and the almost certain absence of a tip.

Our annual summer picnic is Wednesday night and I don't know what to make to bring (we all have to bring a side dish to share, the church provides hamburges and hot dogs). I brought homemade cole slaw last time and nobody ate it! :(
