That's not quite it Linda. I think the one I want has dumplings that are made from egg, flour, and water.
Thanks any how.

oh hell... here it is... lol

Knepfle supe:

Broth:

1/3 kettle water
chicken base to taste
1 1/2 large onions, chopped
1 1/2 cups chopped celery
1 1/2 cups chopped carrots
3 or 4 large potatoes, cut up

Boil vegetables in water until almost soft.

Knepfle:

11/2 cups flour
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
3/4 baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix egg, salt, milk.
Mix flour, baking powder.
Add half of flour mix to milk mix and stir until smooth.

Add the rest of the flour.
You may need to add a little more flour to make dough firm.

Fill large kettle quite full with water and bring to a boil.
Add dough half a teaspoon at a time.
Cook until they rise to the top. (about 5 to 10 minutes)
Drain.

To Finish:

Add knepfle to hot broth and reheat to boiling.
Turn off stove and add 1/2 pound of butter and enough cream (or half and half) to make soup creamy.
