I've read a lot about aspartame (Nutra Sweet, Spenda, etc...) are toxic to the body. I never use it myself because I can't stand the taste, but does anyone believe it causes serious problems ie. seizures, nerve damage, etc?
I have a family member that won't use anything but Nutra Sweet and it was just a concern of mine. Is this a conspiracy theory (I know Snopes.com says it is) or is it really truly bad for human consumption?

that these food eating contests are setting a bad example for the younger people? I'm all for competition, but I'm tired of hearing that Joe Schmoe ate 50 hotdogs in 20 minutes.

Some kind of salted dry fish are very tasty when fried but the problem is excess salt in it. Despite washing repeatedly salt is not removed much. Please suggest ways to reduce salt.

Every recipe I see says to line the bowl with 'ladyfingers' ... those type of biscuits are not available where I stay, can I substitute with sponge cake or crushed plain cookies, any ideas will be great. I have fresh brewed coffee and awesome mascrapone.

What are some steps to take if you want to become a vegetarian, but your parents and family don't take you seriously?
Also, what are some foods that can replace the nutrients we find in meats?
What's the difference between vegetarian and vegan?
Thanks, any answers will be apreciated.

Now I'm defrosting it and making bean soup. My questions is being that the ham is huge, can I use half of it and re-freeze the rest, or is that something that your not suposed to do?

I'm hoping that's an old rule and want to be safe. If you do give an answer, please explain how you came up with your information.
