One medium lemon produces about 3 tablespoons of juice. Before squeezing, it is best to bring the lemon to room temperature. Also, a handheld lemon juicer will yield the largest of juice per lemon.

I know this..you will get more juice form a lemon if you microwave it for 20 seconds to 30 seconds depending on its size that is....than you would if you were to squeeze it by hand at room temperature. Same goes with oranges too :)
I just squeezed a small lemon and it got 45 mls of juice out of it..and a larger one about the size of a tennis ball got just over twice that...I squeezed them over my prawns for my lunch at work :)
