I've had some very good pinots but some tasted a little young. I was talking to a wine maker in the Willamette Valley who said that the pinot really isn't ready to drink for at least 4 years. I've got some 2003s that I'm sitting on in hope that he is right. They weren't that great when I opened them a year ago. I mean, we don't think of drinking Bordeaux for several years, why should pinot noir be any different?

This is "Polly-O" Italian part-skim ricotta cheese from Whole Foods. The date on it said April 29, 2006.

Is it ok to eat it raw with fruit?
Is it ok to eat it cooked in the oven for about a half hour?
Is it ok to eat it at all, cooked or uncooked?

Thanks!

I'm having a party today to celebrate summer! I think it would be cool to have a swim party! I went shopping yesterday at Costco and Smart & Final. I got burgers, hotdogs, chips, pretzels, chicken, taquitos, assorted finger foods, snacks, and a lot more stuff.. Anybody have any ideas as too anything else I should get? Party starts at 4PM today. Thanks!

I'm making banana bread, which calls for All Purpose flour in the recipe. All I have on hand is Bread flour.
Can I use this as a substitution?
And if I can.. do I have to adjust the amount? ....help...

Its probably more of a southern thing, but its essentially a delicious summer drink (very sweet) that has been frozen in a cup. You eat it with a spoon and it tastes delicious! Sounds simple, i know, but its soooo good. Anyone have a recipe?

I love the great British tea room for afternoon tea. I have been going to a place in Chester for 19 years (on Bridge Street) whose scones are yet to be beaten followed a close second by Betty's in either location. Unless someone can tell me otherwise? Please don't recommend Fortnum and Mason's as they were so disappointing.
