I love the great British tea room for afternoon tea. I have been going to a place in Chester for 19 years (on Bridge Street) whose scones are yet to be beaten followed a close second by Betty's in either location. Unless someone can tell me otherwise? Please don't recommend Fortnum and Mason's as they were so disappointing.

A little coffee shop in Woolacombe bay North Devon. It was a full on cream tea, the scones were phenomenal

A really small cafe in Tenby South Wales. Can't remember the name but the scones were perfection!! You've inspired me to go and make some!!!

It's gotta be St Ives in Cornwall. They make clotted cream and strawberry jam to go in them too. You have never had the best scone till youv'e tried a Cornish one!!!!!!!!

I'm still tiring to find one Ive been hear 5 years and still cant find any place that can beat the ones i had in the blue mountains at the tea room in katoomba Australia. good luck in your search ill be interested to see your replies.
