Singles & Dating - 9 September 2007

My boyfriend does so much for me. Its almost ridiculous. What is something good to do for him? Especially in this really small town I live in. I do not have a lot of money since I am in college... but I really want to pay him back.. something special, unique, and different. Hes not the real "hard" kinda guy, hes more sensitive and romantic, so he would enjoy about anything.. if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!! Thanks so much!

NO I am not asking to be MEAN...it’s just that all these people keep asking on here if guys/girls like fat boys/girls and everyone is like yea.......LOOKS don't matter. But in reality a lot of people DO care about looks.........and I know for a FACT that half of the men/women would NOT date a FAT person...Am I RIGHT....? (The other half is FAT)

NOW, my opinion is that people who are FAT can CHANGE that about themselves, they can workout and become healthier so YES I find it UNATTRACTIVE.......It shows laziness and are unhealthy...It may take a while, but if they are trying thats GOOD start...

I've never been on a date at university. I'm not into university type social activities (drinking, clubbing, parties) or social organizations. I am, however, very outgoing in class, and get along very well with people. I simply don't care to socialize outside of class. I'm in 4th year, so my classes are small. Do university-aged guys tend not to ask out girls they know only from class?

I am madly in love with my ex and we have a beautiful son together but he hates me. He cant stand me and most of it is my fault. I broke up with my ex about 8 months ago. We were together for 9 years and had a baby together. Our daughter passed away from SIDS when she was four months old and it hit us both very hard. He started drinking way too much and at the end of our relationship started to hurt me with more than just his words and play mind games with me. He was my first love and I do love him but I will never go back to him. He called a mutual friend today and told her that he needed to speak to me to basically say he is sorry and to wish me luck. I don't know if I can handle it. Should I talk to him and get it over with or should I just let it be? Do you think it will help me or hurt me?

Hi, my names Jenny and I'm training to be a nurse,I'm 18 and from Philly.
I was going out with a guy I thought was really sweet for a long time but we broke up recently,I ended it, no animosity we'd grown apart.

Is it possible to have regular no strings sex with someone without becoming emotionally involved? I find the men don't respect the women who enter into this kind of arrangement. My boyfriend is fed up of me being so insecure. I hate the way I look as i have auburn hair and pale skin. Girls these days dress like tarts, dolled up lovely, and men love them especially blonds. My boyfriend gets so annoyed and has said to me he is fucked if he stays with and fucked if he gets rid, due to maintanence fees. I have no parents, no family nearby and no friends. Just one or two. I work as a theatre nurse in keighley, but live in Leeds, so its along way to travel. People don't like me as i'm quite and reserved, and I'm very anxious. How come some girls have loads of confidence, it seems to me its all about sex, girls ahve to be tanned, blond and slim to pull. I just feel like the world is against me. My boyfriend has had enough of me taking it out on him and i can't go out and have a laugh like other girls as i don't have any confidence. I think its too late, don't know what I should do? Maybe adapt the baby as i'll be an unfit mother?

Yesterday I broke up with this girl, she texted messaged me and said that we would break up if i wanted to. Then she texted again and said that why was I had at her and why I haven't called her . Ok, please help me!!!!

Recently one of my best friends at work left for a new job. (Better pay etc) I’ve known her for about a year and we get on really well. (She’s not just a colleague, we always text and email each other outside of the office too.) The thing is, she was not just one of my best friends, I had a HUGE crush on her! (More than a crush actually, I fell completely in love with her. At first it was just looks, but the more I got to know her, the more perfect she was to me!) However, I never said anything during the whole time I saw her at work as she has a boyfriend (I always fall for those!)

Now that she’s left we still text and email each other, and she’s told me that she’s really unhappy in her new place and that she made a mistake leaving. We had a really good team at work and we all got on outside of the office too. So she’s organising a day next week to all meet up and go out for lunch.

Here’s the dilemma…. Ever since she left, she’s all I’ve been thinking about and it’s killing me!! Part of me wants to go (I have already agreed!) but the other half of me thinks it’d be best if I made an excuse and didn’t. I just think it’d be better to try and forget her. (I’m even texting her less now)

What should I do? Go or stay at home.

(I know she wants to organise a night out too, but I’m thinking of turning that down too!)
