i freak out right before i get tickled...you know what i mean? when the fingers are like an inch away from me, i already start laughing hysterically.

I have never been in that situation.
I have been restrained and tickled for 1 - 3 hours at a time but the tickling was always consensual and I got air breaks when I needed them.
I believe that tickling should always be consensual and the tickler should always respect the limits, concerns and desires of the ticklee. The tickler should also strive to keep the tickling fun for BOTH parties, not just the tickler.
