I'm having my birthday next week (dinner and drinks). I want to invite the last woman I dated, as we're still friends. I also invited a friend that I'm interested in romantically and who I actually briefly dated a while ago. Anyone think this might cause awkwardness, or no? Both of them are aware of my past involvement with the other. The more recent ex was seeing someone else, but they might not be together anymore.

Is it normal for an indian man to have a girlfriend until his parents decide its time for him to get married and all the while telling his girlfriend that he loves her and he want her to be his wife and he cant live without her and all these things. Then when his parents feel its time for him to marry he dumps his girlfriend and marrys the girl of his parents choice.

The only reason i ask this is because i have an indian boyfriend and after seeing alot of these posting of the men marrying another woman behind the g/f's back all the while telling them that they love only them. Is this a regular occurance for indian men. Is this something i myself should be worried about in my relationship?

This guy that I work with at my one job..lately he's been all nice, asking me if he can help me do anything, etc..even told me I was a beautiful sexy blonde at lunch one day. Then yesterday, we were talking about this work thing and he said that I had no respect for authority, that I was rude to a higher up in an e-mail (I wasn't rude..I just wanted to know what was going on) and then when I got up to leave...he was like "sit down" and then proceeded to tell me I'm always mad. So later I e-mailed him and said what is it with you? Can you get off my back and he wrote why so testy? What's with the aggression? So I reminded him what he said at lunch and he was like What!! Word around the office is he has a thing for me, but I'm not seeing it if this is how he's acting..what do you think?

I have been divorced for about 6 months from a very verbally abusive marriage. I have been seeing a man casually for several months. We have become wonderful friends, but he has known from the beginning that I am not interested in a long-term, committed relationship. I want to be single for a while first. It is getting to the point in our relationship that he is constantly asking why I can't be in a relationship. He tells me all the time now that he loves me and can't live without me. I am not even comfortable being intimate with him anymore because of all of this pushing. I do love to spend time with him and I think we get along great! I just don't understand why he needs the relationship to be "defined" or why he can't be happy where we are. I have never asked him for anything more than companionship. He is also divorced from a woman who cheated on him. Am I just being incredibly selfish and unfair, or am I allowed to want to be single for a while?

Ok so last night my girl got black out drunk and passed out at a friends house. The last time she talked to me was at 7 pm, with a text that said " Im drinking". Well 12 rolls around and I get worried. We live together so I think that if she is drunk I can pick her up. Well 2 o clock comes around and I am worried. I call I text nothing. Well I go to her friends house and knock on the door. When she opens it her friend is really suprised to see me and says we "all just got really drunk" and sorry, for no reason. She says she will go get my girlfriend and shuts the door. When she comes back she says that she is in the back room. Well I find my girlfriend naked and angry that i'm there. She dosen't sleep in the nude. So this is the first thing that suprises me. In shock I say "I was just worried and I haven't talked to you" i'll leave now. I go home. This getting black out drunk thing happens alot with her. I drink but not to the point of passing out, and not on the weekday.

I am missing him like CRAZY! I swear I haven't slept for more than an hour in a whole week. We broke up not long ago... but I still love him... and he has said he still loves me. Well, last night, around 3 A.M. I was laying in bed...thinkning... yet again I could not fall asleep. I was wondering if missed me as much as I missed him. Then all of the sudden, my phone rang... and it was him!!! I asked why he called so late... he said he couldn't fall asleep. Then I said, me too. There was kinda an awkward silence for a minute... like we both knew why we couldn't sleep. We had agreed to stay friends... but last night it seemed like he was hinting a lot of things.
