Singles & Dating - 15 March 2007

So i wrote this story earlier but realized it was VERY LONG so i felt i would shorten it so people would be able to understand it.

I have been friends with this girl lets call her "person #1" since 4th grade. I'm now a senior in high school. She had two birthday//house parties and did not invite me to either of them. Back in 7th grade i got in a fight with one of her other best friends and since then she has never invited me to anything. I have invited her to EVERYTHING OF MINE. (literally) This year i finally blew up at her. I wrote this note to her on the internet explain how i felt. It pretty much said that she cared more about what other people thought of her then hurting people's feelings. She gave me three different explanations back to me. After i asked her for her real "reason" why she did not invite me to these parties and doesn't include me in ANYTHING that she does with her friends and yet will include my other best friend.

I'm black and in my area the bars there are predominantly populated by caucasians, of which I find no problems with, however, it seems that when I try to approach the girls, they are appear defensive and some of the guys look at me warily. is this all in my head or do people find it offensive. I have no racial qualms with anybody, i understand we are different racially, but it shouldn't be an obstacle

My current boyfriend is training in the fire department, whereas my ex is a stock boy at a local pharmacy. I am not a gold-digger money grabber (I have my own dough, tyvm), but I want to ask my ex what exactly can he offer me? I am getting up in age now, and I am seriously contemplating marriage. I don't want to offend him by saying that i don't want to spend the rest of my life with a stock boy. (I don't).

So im sitting in the library, working with my group on a bio project. 2 of our members take off to use the computers for research. So its just me and this girl. Mind you she doesnt have a BF. Her foot touched my legs like twice, then her foot touched my leg again, only she didnt move it away. Sign? Im confused XD I don't know here THAT well. We don't hang out or anything. there's this guy, he's extra cute and i'm not exactly beautiful (i'm not being humble). i've known him for 3 yrs. i am a little shy, and when he talks to me i get confused and manage to cut short the discourse. sometimes i catch him looking at me and sometimes he sees me looking at him (i try to do that often without him looking). he waves at me sometimes when either i'm too far away to talk to him (eg on opposite side of a wide street) or when i'm with my friends (who are not in the least interested in him). fact is when he does this there are other people around and i'm not too sure at the moment if he directed his salute to me. only afterwards it comes to me that he might have been waving at me. what i do is ignore him completely. i like him a lot, and i think he knows this, i cant stop looking at him. so i dont think i can be an impartial judge on myself.if someone out there got to reading till here, do you think he's flirting, he's in love or he's just having a little fun with me?

I've known the guy for years. We get along great, have alot in common. He's very mature, very respectful toward women. He's been a great friend and has been there through alot of my trials and tribulations. But, if we take this to the next level, with this much of an age difference, will one of get bored? This guy and I dated for about three months when we went on a break. We had little interaction over the break. If we saw each other we would say hi and sometimes hw would touch me on the shoulder or the side. When the break was over I asked him what he wanted and he asked what I thought. I told him that I still had feelings for him and that if he wanted this relationship to work a few things would change. He said that he did not want a relationship right now. I have seen him a few times since then and he has smiled and even touched me on the side like before. Honestly, right now I am not looking for a committed relatonship I would not mind causal dating and talking on the phone once in a while. Should I try and talk to him about it and see if he is still interested or just try and move on. I have strong feelings for him, but I am not sure if he feels the same way.
