My current boyfriend is training in the fire department, whereas my ex is a stock boy at a local pharmacy. I am not a gold-digger money grabber (I have my own dough, tyvm), but I want to ask my ex what exactly can he offer me? I am getting up in age now, and I am seriously contemplating marriage. I don't want to offend him by saying that i don't want to spend the rest of my life with a stock boy. (I don't).
How should I go about this?

That is an easy one. The ex is an ex for a reason. The current one is there for a reason.. It is not hard Stay with the current one. Ur ex just want u back CZ u have someone new in Ur life. I know for a fact that if u were single he would not Even think twice about u...
U should know we always want what some one Else has.
Ur ex is like a small child when they have a toy that they don't play with any more they don't want it, but if they see some one playing with it then its theirs.

Well look at it this way dear, you obviously don't love him like you should someone you were going to marry, or his being a stock boy wouldn't matter. So, let yourself off the hook and face it, you two don't have it. If the position is all that matters, you are going to lose in the end anyway. Oh, just how old are you. You think that you got problems, I am 57 and I am very much in love with a young lady who loves me very much also. Problem is she is 24.

I know this seems like a really huge deal. But its not. You are the one who makes decisions that will affect your life. You do what is best. Don't feel like you have to answer to anyone for making a healthy decision.
I would not consider you a gold-digger, as you said you are going after a firefighter (not a CEO). It sounds like you just want some stability - which is perfectly normal, especially if you want to settle down. It is naive for someone to say "you shouldn't care about their job, its whether you love them." Why can't you have both? With the fireman it seems like you will.
Your ex-boyfriend is your ex. You tell him you're with somebody else.

I think you should be with the one that will make you happiest. Also, you need to consider if you and whoever want the same things if you are thinking about getting married. You don't want to marry someone who doesn't want kids if you do. Also, this guy prob. won't be a stock boy the rest of his life so consider that.

Tell him exactly what you just said. You are a grown azz woman and have to make grown azz women moves and that does not include him working as a stock boy. Honestly, I would just stick with your current bf and tell stock boy to BEAT IT....lol.

You don't have tell the hurtful truth and reject your ex-boyfriend in a brutal way. Just tell him that you now have another boyfriend whom you like a lot. He is the one you are in love with. And he is the one you want to be with.
Instead of telling the guy that he is no good, tell him that your present boyfriend is very good and you don't want to leave him.

I think you should try talking to you're ex-boyfriend and tell him that if he wants to be with you he's gonna have to do something with his life. If he thinks you're the one he'll get off his *** and stop being a stock boy.
