I think a guy likes me but he won't step up to the plate. Is he afraid of being rejected?

Well there is a very simple way to fix that. You ready for it. Go talk to him. or ask him to go out. Wow was it really that hard to figure it out.

some guys r just shy and dont know what to do around girls like i have a fear of being rejected but then i just move on

Im a girl and the answer is yes.
It was this guy I used to like about a year ago and I always thought he was taken because people said he liked me but he never asked me out so one day after I stoped liking him and he stoped like me I was like why did you never ask me out. And he said because "I was afraid you would say no."
So YES. They are.

It might be that you are right.. some guys don't put themselves out there simply because they fear, or can't handle rejection. But first, does he really know how you feel? that you're interested in him in that way? Sometimes us guys are just dense.. and need things spelled out for us..

yes, my boyfriend liked me for 2 years b4 his friend decided to take control and set up a date for him
when i asked my bf y he didn't just ask me out he said he wa afraid of rejection- same thing happened when i had to kiss him b/c he was afraid i wouldn't let him kiss me

Yes. But don't ask him out. Men still like a challenge. They do not value things that just fall into their lap so easily. Give him the indication that you will say yes if he were to ask you out. But make him ask!!

Im kinda of shy about it but i know that if there flirting alot with u and u like them allso mabey u should ask.

yes, a lot of us are scared of being rejected...it's a horrorfying thought, being turned down. if you like him, make it obvious and he'll step up.
