Singles & Dating - 10 March 2007

I broke up with my ex because of a problem and we became friends and it was really unusual because after the initial awkwardness and hurt we both felt for a couple of weeks, we became close friends. But I still fancied her. It got to a point where the problem that broke us apart was resolved so I thought a relationship would be perfect. So I asked her if we could get back together. She took offense and after saying no and me pleading with her a bit she proceeded to give me an onslaught of awkwardness, dancing and kissing strangers in front of me to give me the message (but she seemed hurt while she was doing this which I dont understand). This hurt me so much that I would never even imagine myself going out with her anymore even if she changed her mind.

Now my feelings for her have faded and I have met someone else (she doesnt know this). She still thinks I fancy her and is always on the defensive. Will she ever trust me again to be a close friend?

i went to a school dance and this guy asked me to dance, we ended up hooking up and then i decided i didnt want to dance anymore so i just said thanks and walked off. about 15 mins later i was dancing with my friend and he was waiting at the front of the dance hall and called me over and asked for my number and gave me a hug. after the dance was finished i saw him and i yelled out his name and he came over but had no idea who i was! he then figured out who i was and he was like oh yeah sorry brydie u just look so different off the dance floor,he said i looked heaps hotter and said he would make it up to me and we then continued talking for about 10 mins. i was so embarrassed that he didnt remember me and he said i could never forget someone like u, do u think it was an honest mistake that he made or is he just a player?

I've been going out with my boyfriend for almost 6 months, and I think I love him. I'm not sure if he feels the same way about me. All my friends say either he does or he will with time and that he has a hard time showing his feelings for me because he needs to mature a little bit more. I don't know if I should discuss this with him or leave it or, and this is my last resort, break up with him. The whole situation really upsets me, but I really care about him. What should I do?

I feel so sorry for my this best friend. She cant get him out of her mind. She cried everyday and I really afraid she will do something silly. I dont understand why her husband behave in this manner. He dated her is so nice and caring and six mths dating and married, his attitude changed. I told my friend is no use to patch up with him as his love for her is not anymore. But she just cant get over it as she herself cannot understand why her hubby changed so fast. I hope she will not loose her confident in getting another boyfriend after this failure relationship. I just want to know how to console her at this stage, i feel bad also as i cant accompany her more as i am very busy with my works and my family. Any suggestion to keep her happy?

What can I do. I feel desperate just for thinking about this situation.

I have a cousin I met in Italy when I was 11. Then we met again through my space now that we are 23. I asked to come and visit me and she came. I was dating the man I am in love with. I do not know why I just trusted her. A friend of mine told me to be careful and not expose her to him. I didn’t listen, I though she had values and won’t allow him to flirt her, and that him won’t flirt her too. I don’t know why I trusted someone I had not seen in 12 years. I have the idea that I wanted this pretty cousin to visit me so that he knew I had pretty cousins. I even feel guilty for searching a pretty cousin around the world so that he could like her.
She was here for 20 days. I did everything to like her, but it was impossible. All she did was criticized me and my relationship with this guy, and the relationship with all my friends.

Okay so heres the deal. I'm in love with this boy. I know he has love for me but he tells me he's not in love with me. But when we are together he acts like he's my boyfriend. But he claims that he does not want to be with me. I'm extremely close to his family and him as well. I sleep at his house all the time, in his bed, with him, and he doesn't seem to mind. Even when he has a girl friend I'm his first priority. He does everything and says everything a boyfriend should, but he tells me he doesn't want to be with me because he is scared of losing me. But when I ask him why he is with these other girls he says he doesn't care if he loses them or hurts them and he is just young and confused right now. He also tells me he wants me to be the mother of his children one day. I want to let go but it's just so hard.. and I can't. And it seems as if he doesn't want to let go of me either... what should I do? We tried being "just friends" but we just can't.

my best friend has met this guy online. they met about 2 months ago and have been chatting to each other via email, messenger, text and phone. the guy seems to be nice although i haven't spoken to him myself. he wants to meet up with her in a few weeks. he lives down south and she lives in wigan. he has said he will go anywhere she wants to meet up. has anyone ever done this? what happened? i'm worried thats all (they are both mid 20's)

Just trying to get more opinions...Yesterday was the second month, that I hadn't heard from my "alleged boyfriend." He lives in another state now, so I can't just go to his house and say "hi." I've tried to get a hold of him, but he hasn't responded. Everything was great between us, then he said that he was "SOOOO busy" with school, and stuff at home, then I never heard from him again. I'm really busy too, but I can at least take 5 minutes to send an email. It frustrates me, because HE'S the one who basically threw himself at my feet, begged me to take him, and was always telling me how much he loved me. I just don't understand...Now there's all these other guys I know who like me, and I'm afraid to move on to one of them, if he still loves me and wants to be with me. I just don't know!!! HAS HE LEFT ME???????

My bf broke up with me a day ago, and haven't talked since. we had gone out for 2 years and everything seem perfect until about a week ago. he said he felt i never showed how much i loved him enough and that i was too shy etc and that we had just been like friends recently... he could'nt tell me if he still loved me but asked if i still loved him... why would he need to know that? if he didnt love me(im guessing by his answer)
he even said he didnt know if he wanted to break up because he was afraid i wouldn't want to get back with him, and that he didn't want to hurt me.He said he had changed (over a week?!) he finally told me he supposes it was over.. what the hell does that mean, is it over for good? will he ever want me back :(

i really really like this girl
we havnt seen each other in about 2 years (before this month)

Me and my partner are going through a real rough patch at the mo and i really confused about what to do. Are relationship hasnt been all sweetness and bright and we had more bad times than good. Most women cry, moan with friends, eat chocolate and they get well again and seem more mentally stronger. Having loads of guy friends I always find they fall in love hard and take longer to get over it. They keep it in more which is bad and generally take rejection alot worse than women do.
