Singles & Dating - 22 February 2007

I am in my twenties and only became successful in dating less than a year ago after years of frustration. In the past half year I have been with a few women casually. I was happy that I was finally able to do that and thought that was what I wanted...

Until I recently dated someone who is religious/spiritual and I think that is what I really want, a good woman not sex with different women all the time.

My hang up is that the girls I date are very attractive and usually very experienced with men. I am afraid if I settle down now, it will be too early and I will always have the feeling that I am not experienced enough. That she is more experienced than me. That I lost out.

I am way ahead of my friends who are in their thirties and ten years older than me, they are afraid to talk to girls and don't know what to do/say.

The question is do I chose God's path, turn to Him and settle down now with a woman from church or play the field to get over my insecurity before marriage?

How can become less stubborn? my bf yells at me all the time about being stubborn, i know i can be at time. and i feel really bad cuz each time i try to be less stubborn, i end up where i started. i feel useless. i do like him a lot, i dont want no one else, but i cant seem to change.

I've been obsessing way too much over a guy who I used to be friends with, but is unavailable since he has a gf overseas. The bad thing is that we work at the same place and I see him everyday. It's gotten to the point where we don't talk since he's been playing head games with me and claims he doesn't want to talk to me, but he is still looking at me. The thing is I am beginning to hate him, but I don't want the hatred consume me.

At two different points in my life, on man was willing to travel from Mississippi to Indiana to take me to my junior prom.

Another man was willing to travel from Puerto Rico to see me.

I have not been happy for a while in my relationship, but can't seem to move beyond the intense happiness that we felt at the beginning. Is it unrealistic to think that that could come back? How do I move on? Makes me so sad to think of not being together anymore. Probably just as sad as the relationship itself makes me.

Imet my boyfriend of 3yrs when i was 16 he at the time was 18. We have been through many things and although we have overcome so much i have lost faith in us. My boyfriend drinks a lot. He says his job is stressful and it helps take the edge off. He spends most of his free time with me but we only make love once a month. We see each other about twice a week but when I try to seduce him, I get rejected. He swears there’s no one else. Based on the time he has available and the time he spends with me, I believe him. I'm not sure what to do about this. It's frustrating for me. Could the drinking and stress diminish his sexual drive? His parents, sister and her 2 kids live with him. He's financially responsible for them and anything that goes wrong with the house and the cars. I want to understand him but what about me? I know he cares for me but what is there for me w/his stress, family situation and now the sexual problem, I wonder if I'm holding on to something that I should just let go and move on. One of my friends, very close friend she is married but has been seperated from her husband almost 2 years now. While they were married her husband was cheating on her with someone he fell in love with and wanted to leave my friend for. So he end up leaving her for this woman he so called fell in love with.

My friend use to call this girl up and beg for her to stop messing with her husband, and that he needs to come home to her and their 3 kids. We'll it didn't go that way, he never came back.
