Singles & Dating - 15 February 2007

I've been seeing my ex for one month now. We broke up last year. Anyway, we decided to go out to dinner on Valentines and I chose the restaurant. I was only in a relationship with him for 7 months so this would have been our first Valentines. He wants to take things slow and be friends, but I thought I would at least have been treated to a special day. He paid for dinner and got me a card. When he drove me home, I thought (foolishly) that he would surprise me with roses or a gift. I got him cologne as a surprise. Well he didn't, and needless to say I feel so stupid. I called him and asked him why he didn't even think of flowers and he said he did but they were all sold out. He said he wants to make it up to me, but I feel like he's lost his chance. He should have been prepared as any other man would have been. He should have made me feel special last night, not next time. DO you think it was enough that he took me to dinner? Also, the card was very unsincere.

Ok, I have this guy friend and he's a lot older than I am. I don't want anything other than friendship from him, but I'm not sure if he may want something more. He bought me something beuaitufl for Valentine's Day and it was definitely more than I was expecting. I'm not sure...I guess it feels like he likes me, but I don't want that kind of thing. I also want to stay friends and I don't know if that will happen if I turn him down. I think things might be weird. He's a great friend and one I like to share with my other friends. Help...

a man! for example i've always dated really handsome men, but they treated me like crap... cheating, breaking promises just basically arrogant self centered men... but ni thought they were the ideal guy cuz they dressed well and were cute! and not to mention they were lazy and always trying to get money from me that i didn't even have, so now i met this guy who i would not have considered the ideal guy for me and he happens to be one in so many ways.... he's kind, generous, thoughtful a great provider, hardworking (he owns 12 apartment buildings and he's always trying to make time to better himself! he's not overly concerned with dressing up, he's basically trying to build an empire... so ladies where your ideals right or wrong?

My boyfriend for a month ( just wanted to let you know how long) always complained that the fortune cookies he gets now has quotes and no fortunes. I agree as well. So for Valentines Day.I thought it would be funny to take out the papers in it and type my own and replace it.Well..that was a huge challenge.Anyway,it was kinda funny when he read them ( I could only do 4 out of the 20 cookies because I cracked and couldnt paste them back).he was like: What the heck? these papers looked so cheap and it looks like straight from the computer.I was like really?? Finally at the end I wrote one that was kinda silly: One who adores (my name) is a smart one. He looked up at me and looked confused then it clicked and I started cracking up.he was like.how the heck?? Anyway.I got him cologne and a dvd despite us saying no gifts. my bf and i have been dating for 8 months i know i love him but i havent said it yet cause i am scared to because of past experiences and he knows that, hes the shy time so i am sure thats why he hasnt said it yet or i am persuming. I just started dating this guy about 2 months ago and he got me absolutely nothing for Valentine’s Day. No card, no flowers, nothing. Oh but he scored, he knew I was getting him tickets to a sold out game about a week ago (I had to make sure he could get off work) and still nothing. I dont know why he's doing this and why use anonymous. He broke up with me 2 months ago and begged me to leave him alone and wanted nothing to do with me. Why doesnt he admit it's him?

Alot of people talk about love, but I have never felt in love, and I dont think I will ever fall in love. Now I dont even believe that love actualy exists. Sometimes I think that love is just one of the desires man have. For example desire for sex, happiness, angry, sad, and others. People talk highly about love, but to me I think love is just something like desire. So when I die the desire will eventualy go away. I lived in this world but I have never felt love, sometimes I think I am not normal. I dont if there is anyone who is like me, thats what I want to find out.
