I just started dating this guy about 2 months ago and he got me absolutely nothing for Valentine’s Day. No card, no flowers, nothing. Oh but he scored, he knew I was getting him tickets to a sold out game about a week ago (I had to make sure he could get off work) and still nothing. He didn’t even take off early from work to spend time with me. Should I dump him???

Well, the only advice I can give you is to quit spoiling him! Guys who have everything handed to them by their girlfriends eventually get to a place where they feel like they've got you, and they don't have to put any effort into keeping you!

Cool off towards him (don't be rude, though) and see if he comes after you with flowers or any other sort of sweet, thoughtful gift. If he does, problem solved - if not, lose the loser! If he's not generous towards you during courtship, he will never change.

I wish you well!

Ummm...this is a sticky situation. One the one hand, maybe he didn't have money to do some of the things he would have liked to do. On the other (and more realistic) hand... a card, a heartfelt letter, a candy bar would have been acceptable. If he is already being this nonchalant about romance/feelings/intimacy this early in the relationship, it's a good indicator of what's to come.

And another thing, don't go buying a guy you've only been seeing for a short time ANYTHING. Get to know him first and then see if he's worthy of your time, your cash, and your love...

Sweetie: Men DON'T change (unless they want to-RARE) and we can't change them. What you get, is what you'll have.

Geez thats bad. I am sorry he was such an a**. Well I don't think you should dump him right away. Instead, tell him that it sucks how he didn't even get you a freaking card from the 99cent store but that you got him some tickets (I bet they were expensive too). Maybe he didn't have money? Maybe he completely forgot or didn't know what to get you? Talk to him.

probably, but not because he didnt get you a gift...because the gift is important to you.
You should never EXPECT a gift. it isnt mandatory that a man get you a gift for any occassion. yes it is nice, but not neccisary.
if you are expecting gifts you need to re think you mindset, not his. besides, isnt it necer to get a "just because i was thinking about you gift" randomly than to get a gift on a novelty holiday like valentines day?
