Same way everyone else does. Make eye contact, but don't stare. If she comes your way start up some casual conversation and introduce yourself. Don't follow her around or ask too many questions. Try to keep it as casual as possible w/out acting like you're not interested (duh. lol). Most girls like to see that you're independent and you don't really need her. Just try to be yourself.

Start with people you know if that's a choice, it's always easier than approaching a stranger. A little desperation is okay as long as you let her know for sure that it's not the only reason you want to be with her. That's not the only reason right? One more thing, be sure you can be happy by yourself before you depend on someone else to make you happy. Being alone should not be your enemy.

Don't listen to the ****** above me dude. You've heard it before, all you have to do is be yourself, either find some medium(alcohol, whatever) to get you relaxed, or mentally get yourself siked up and prepared with a list of possible INTERESTING subjects to talk about, then approach said strumpet. Simply start a conversation man, and of course act like you are genuinely interested in them, make the conversation turn from something you can both talk about to something exclusively about them, women loooove to talk about themselves, they have a natural affinity for it:) Lastly make your atmosphere work for you, you're at a bar offer to buy her a drink AFTER you start talking with her and you start getting more comfortable, most people make the mistake of trying to buy the girl a drink before they even utter any intelligible words. If you're at a social event you can turn your conversation to the people surrounding you, people always get more comfortable when talking about other people around them. Remember, you're not lonely or desperate, you're willing and able;)

I say just be yourself and show confidence. If that person does not know you how would she know you are lonely. Keep the conversation short and ask questions that are not to personal at first. See where that leads, if she seems interest give her your number. If she likes what she see and hear she Will give you her number.

Just talk to them...they don't know your past or how your feeling inside....strike up a convo....buy a drink....ask for a dance....have fun with it....don't ask her for her number and start planning things you want to do with her in 5 months in the first hour you talk to her and you should be good.
