I had a friend who I thought was my secret pal because he said similar things with the secret pal did. I did not understand why he would give himself away if he wanted to be secret pal. I guess he was playing a mind game with me but I don't think it was funny.

hi, me and my ex bf of 3 years split up about 4 months ago and its been really tuff on both of us, one week hes ringing me at 4 in the mornin sayin he loves me, the next hes saying hes ova me and hes wiv sum1 else...after he told me that i told him i need sum space 2 get ova him and he hasnt stopped fning me!! he left a msg sayin can we talk 2mo so wen he rang he didnt hav much 2 say?im confused. do u think its poss 4 us just to b friends? we both miss and love eachotha.

I'm kinda enduring an awkward situation at work. One of my closest guy friends works at the same place as I do and I began to develop feelings for him though he has a gf in another country. I told him I liked him and I felt it was best that we ignore each other for awhile so I can get over him. Anyway he asked me if I wanted to hook up with him, i said i did, but then he said i should do it with another guy I like. Anyway during all of this, I got mad at him for jerking my feelings around and I ended up calling him a dog, but then I apologized. The thing is I said all of this via text. The next day I wrote him a letter saying how sorry I was for how I acted, and that it was better that we treat each other as professionals since he has a gf and I need to move on. The thing is that he ignored me. So far, we've been ignoring each other for the past 3 weeks and now it is awkward and i miss talking to him sometimes. Whenever we pass each other it is awkward. What should I do?

I have a two married friends Adam and Melissa. Their marriage has been a little rocky but they are trying to work things out. Adam thinks things are going better while Melissa is just putting up with him. We also have a friend named John. (who is one of my closests friends) He shows me text messages from Melissa all the time talking about how she feels a connection with him, joking about quickies, and how she wants to have something with him etc. Now John and Adam have been best friends for as long as I can remember. So Adam will talk to John about his marriage and how he feels things are going better and John will be like thats great and encourage him to keep trying. Isn't that wrong? I feel so bad for Adam but I don't really think it's my place to tell him. Should I tell John to tell him what's going on? I would hate to have Adam find out and be seriously hurt. Help!!

I dont want to sound like loser that cant figure **** out but i guess thats just what i am lol. Me and this chick dated threw highschool then she moved away. She ended up getting pregnent and haveing a kid. Im 21 now and she is 20 and her and her boyfriend moved back into the area. We always hang out while im home from college and we talk everyday. we say we love each other and all that stuff at first i was cool with just hanging out with her but now im not so cool with it. Im just wondering what i should do? I mean im really feelin this chick and i kinda broke off the relationship i was in because i thought this was going somehwere. The other day she said that her and her bf were talking about getting married and they were looking for a house to buy. I just dont know how to go about this situation

issues stem from finances. I make more money then he does. I have a higher education than he (Master's Degree). While he only had one year of college. While we have been seeing each other he has been living at my house. After the new year I gave him a key. Even before that he had been staying there. The only thing I ask him is to give me about 400 dollars a month towards the bills. My bills all together are about 1500 a month. He is now on unemployment and he receives his checks about every two weeks. Sometimes they come late and I question him if he has gotten paid. Today I did and he became upset. He says we are not married and I haven't earned the right to inquire about his finances. That we haven't even been together a year yet. He says once he has bills in his name and we find a place of our own then I can have that privledge. He says he's not even going to tell me when he is getting paid or anything.

Basically I live with a self destructive love life. If you want to even label it a love life. Ok so it started off as a really great friendship which lead into a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship. However he had issues such as no confidence, anger problems, and getting over an ex that I felt just would not make the relationship work. So, we went on one date on the date I told him I would go out with him again but then I just knew it wouldn't work out so I told him on the internet the next day there would be no second date. (I know it was cruel and I appologized and if he thought what I did was awful he had the chance to leave) Well we still continued to talk via the internet and even sometimes 6 hours a night. He had fixed his issues and the possibility of a relationship was brought up several times (his response always being maybe). Well 3 months ago his father died of cancer I sent him a card I talked to him and told him I would be there but he never accepted my offer. Well what happened was he found another girl. My boyfriend recently tried to break up with me because he loves me and feels unworthy of me. He said "I am a dropout of a third rate university and am bad looking; you are good looking and Ivy League educated." He said he is in a bad situation, he is not making decent income, doesn't have a proper job, not living properly. He said I get nothing out of the relationship, I don't gain anything from dating him. I said that if he loves me, we should compromise. We decided to compromise, no phone calls, only e-mails, for a while (we're in a long distance reln). He has a mental illness and hates the phone. What should I do to keep him in a long term relationship, and eventually marry him? I thought I could answer his e-mails less frequently to show that I'm a bit upset with him, and to make him miss me and keep the mystery. What do you think? My bf and I have known each other since we were 10 yrs old on and off but we never tried dating. In Sep. 2006 we started dating and now we are saying the 3 words to each other the only things is that he has a lot of girls that are friends and he does things that I consider flirting. Lately, he's been hard to get intouch with because he says he hanging with the guys. I have no problem with this, it's only when he does it and not tell me. Like, he'll be gone all day and not call until the next night. Then when I get upset it's all my fault, because I'm driving him crazy with arguing and crying. Most times I get mad and appologize later like it's my fault, but mainly to avoid the break-up. Just this morning, we got into one of those arguements he was gone all night, and ignoring my calls again. I really needed to get in contact with him, because my work uniform was at his place. Called all night finally, this morning he calls an hour before I have to get to work and acts as if nothing is wrong, I blow up. He threatened to break-up with me if I didn't stop getting on his case and crying, I didn't because this is the hundredth time that we've gone through this. Then he tells me he wants out of the relationship. I leave and cry, I'm not sure if this is the end, do you?

I’m just curious about something. Does it matter when dating someone, their education level? If they’re smart? Their living situation? What kind of car they drive? If they have a career of a job? What are their short term goals? What are their long term goals? These things have always been important to me. Now, I’m being told that I’m too picky. And that this arrogant, when I’ve always thought it was having standards with who I date.
I offer these things so, I’ve always wanted someone I felt was on my level. Any opinions on this.
Is it wrong to look down on people when they don’t seem to measure up without giving them a chance.
