Singles & Dating - 21 December 2006

There's this guy in some of my classes that just WON'T leave me alone. No matter how much I try to give him hints, he continues to pester me and stuff. Like, he'll stare at me and kick me under the table and poke me and a few days ago HE TOUCHED MY ***. He always tries to get near me and I always see him near me at the corner of my eye.

Really, this has gone beyond the joke, and I don't know what to do about it cause I really feel like punching him sometimes. I try to give him evil looks to show him I'm not interested, but then he thinks I'm just staring at him!

I don't know what to do. Should I just tell it to him straight to leave me alone? I've tried, but it doesn't seem to work. x_x! I know I'm not paranoid, cause his friends tell me he likes me all the time. =/

Okay so, tomorrow I am going to the movies (about a 20 minunte drive or so away) with this guy that graduated from my school two years ago. We used to be pretty good friends, but now we haven't talked in a while and he's home from break so he wanted to go out, and he asked me, and i said yes. I just really don't want things to be awkward... how do i make them not?!

I hate for me to be one of those desperate people that are dying to know if their crush likes them, but maybe your advice will help make up my mind.

Recently, we had school spirit days, like wacky day and dress up with our school colors. It was actually a competition and you got prizes. I really got into it, but my crush won 2 out of the 3 times, when I won 0. Every time he won, he would laugh at me and tell me that I didn't win and show off his prize. One time it was this viking hat with horns.

We have this one class where we circulate through different classes for different quarters. In one class, it was woodworking and when I mistook his rabbit for a dog, he called my cloud popcorn. Now during our art class, he is laughing at my armature figurine.

Example:

Crush "Does anyone have the 18 wire?"

(2 min later)

Me "Oh hey, do you still need the 18 wire?"

Him "Now that I am working on my project, do you honestly think I am still looking for the 18 wire?"

I've been with my boyfriend for about seven months now. It started off very serious, he was very attentive. After about a month he started to not want to go ANYWHERE.. he just wanted to stay home. He loves to cook, and he cooks delicious meals, but once in a while I like to go out, to a movie, to a restaurant, out with friends. I've tried to talk to him but he says I'm nagging. His job is physically demanding and he is tired when he gets home, but I'm not asking to go out all the time. I told him I would like to go out at least once a month but he keeps brushing it off. We've also been arguing a lot about silly things. I don't feel like he's taking my feelings into consideration. He did not get me anything for my birthday. I feel like giving up but I'm so confused because this is the first man I have been with in a long time who does not cheat and does not lie, he's always very honest with me and I do love him.

This boy asked me out, but i said yeah just b/c i was lonely!! then as we kept going out i started to like him and we went out for like 2 wks and he broke up with me... and i didn't even see it comin... i heard he went out with another girl like 4 days after we broke up.. and i told we could still be friends, but now when he says hi to me and i hug him sometimes i feel like cryin!! 3 more boyz asked me out after, but i told them no just b/c i still have feelings for my ex.. People always tell me I would be happy if I had a girlfriend. I think not. I have an aniety about asking girls out, and I can't get rid of it. If some girl likes me, too bad. I won't ever ask any girl out. I don't need a girl to give me stress in my life. I wouldn't want anyone to see me in love, as I want to look like a tough guy, and make people think that I don't care about anyone, which is true, and tough guys don't love, and they don't let women get in the way. I would feel like a fool giving a girl a gift or something, plus I don't like giving people gifts. Plus, if I had a family, in the future, I would have to work to support them, which will be harder than supporting myself, alone. I might as well live alone, in Hawaii, and not have anyone to stress me out. I don't like kids, and I don't need any female influence in my life.

What do you think about guys who smoke? Is it a serious turn off or doesn't it matter? Also does it make any difference to you what a guy smokes, ie. cigarettes, cigars, pipe, etc? Would you date a smoker or not?

I started working at a place in 00, left in 01 and came back in 05. I had developed a crush on a woman who started working before I left the first time. When I came back, she was still working there. She never knew how I felt until May of 06, when she asked me about dinner one night. I totally slipped throwing all my cards on the table.
