When a guys starts talking to you about his personal life, like what he did yesterday and stuff, does it mean he's becoming more comfortable around you. I mean we share jokes more and more often now. Does it mean he shows interest? Do guys like to become friends with girls before they start to like them?

Yes, in general, if a guy opens up to you he is showing intrest in you and starting to like you.

Yeah, some guys like to become friends first. Actually, it's like they like you all along but need to investigate your feelings for them first and/or they know that telling you about their feelings will drive you away if they reveal them too early. Not all guys are like that, but it sounds like this one is. Why don't you ask him out on a date? Good luck!
