Singles & Dating - 11 December 2006

I was so in love with one of my best friends and recently he told me that he liked one of our mutual friends. I was crushed but as he didn't know I liked him, we were still friends like normal and I even managed to keep my hopes high. Then recently our friend found out that he liked her, and now she likes him back too.

Well basically it's a matter of time that they start going out and everything. I don't regret not telling him because if I had, I'd look like such a fool now.

He's such a good friend to me and he makes me so so happy. I can't get my mind off him or the fact that now he's involved with someone else. But don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's found someone to make him happy. I just wish it was me, you know?

Any advice or thoughts on how I should handle this?

Well its been like a week scince this been happening, the phone conversations been gettting really boring and i try to talk about stuff, but it ends up just hearing each other breathe, i want to get off the phone but i dont, but like whats the point if your not even talking??? i mean im comfortable kind of, but i dont want to feel stupid at the same time, but what can i do to make it more funner? plz help me if that made any sense!!!

I am friends with this guy he is really sweet, and we have tons in common. He flirts, hugs and is sooo Hot ; I've grown to like this guy.... and He tends to be a bit of a player I have a feeling that I am getting the wrong message. But i have no idea should i just continue to be "just" friends or go the extra step?

okai! he stares at u when ur not looking but u know it..when walking pass u he gives u a smile and stares at the floor pretending not to look at u..when people talk about u to him sometimes he get all funny and sometime he tells people to stop talking about u..u try to ignore him just to see howd he react and he notice that uve become distant. Me, i'd give him a slap behind his head and tell him to make up his mind but what would U guys do? eh????

No sympathy talk, please. I don't want to hear that there are small girls for me, because I know that. I simply am disappointed about the fact that I'm forced to a limited selection because of my height. People say I'm smart and funny, but it hurts me to know that I can't always show off those qualities because my height (which is oh so important for first impressions) is 3in below the national average.

So my question is to all the ladies, short and tall. Could you please state your height and say whether the fact that I'm 5'7" would be a major concern for you in both a relationship situation and a one-night stand situation.

I'd also get into the size of my member, which is slightly shorter than average, but equally thicker than average, but I'd like to keep this more civilized than that. Besides, this question is really about initial impressions of a 5'7" guy, not how you'd feel in bed.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 4 months. Because we live close and are both night owls we started to hang out at night (Nothing sexual)Well we got caught sneaking out to hang one night and ever since that time his mother has been on my case. Calling me a bad influence and such.never the less, his mom “banned” him from seeing me.(we attend the same HS and have the same Colleges classes )(early college edu.) We refused to do that, and instead pretended like we broke up. Eventually his mom found out and called his dad (who btw has not been in his life since he was 4 but now all of a sudden wants to be a “father”). His dad has been telling him I am trash etc and to dump me. My boyfriend refused and so his family is threatening to put a restraining order on me simply because they do not like mme simply because they do not like me dating their son. I am at a lost on what to do.(Last night, his father tackled him and slapped him across the face because he told him he loved me)

I understand it is human nature to love and want to be loved. But I think it goes farther then that. I think we feel our lives will not be complete if we don't love and or marry by a certain time or age. This pressure puts so many people into relationships that are not good for them. Why can't we just enjoy life, our personal lives and enjoy time spent with a lover or a friend and not expect it to turn into a relationship? I have made that mistake twice in my life and I still can't understand why I feel the need to make every encounter a relationship. Just by reading some of the question on here, "I love this guy/girl and I don't know how to tell them, what do I do? "I am suffering because the girl/guy I like doesn't like me back?" "He hasn't asked me to marry him yet, should I keep waiting?"
The list goes on and on. The pain is real, I can hear it in every question as I too have felt that pain. Yet we do it all over again.

So there's this guy I know and he is amazing in every way. But we live very far apart because he's in college. i would have been happy just being friends, but he told me one day out of the blue that i was his "ideal wife type". I got excited, because he seems perfect for me (as it seems). Not like I want to get married tomorrow, but just the idea that he might have interest in me... so anyways, that was about 2 months ago or so. He's a very good swing dancer and he goes dancing all the time with girls from his school. I am going to visit him for a few days in two weeks, and he plans on taking me dancing too. Am I just another girl to dance with, or am i something special? We have everything in common, such as life goals and religious views, etc., and we are very passionate about the same things. We also talk frequently online and on the phone. i'm a bit younger-wouldn't he want one of his college girls? the thing is, we haven't openly talked about our feelings...think i have a chance?

Girls, tell which guys you'd like in order from best to worst.

-Guy A: This guy is short but stocky, about 5'8" with a solid build. He has short brown hair. He has He plays football, rugby and works out daily. He has well defined muscles and physique. You feel very safe around him. He loves sports and can have a bit of a temper if you tick him off.


-Guy B: This Guy is tall and lean, about 6'2". He has ear length light brown hair. He doesn't play any sports, but he surfs and snowboards. He's a bit of a pushover, but a nice guy.

My friend's boifriend is in a nother state and he always gets all angry when he hears that she has been talking to any guys but he has girls over at his house every weekend when his parents are out of town. he doesnt try to hide it but she says that he doesnt try to rub it in her face either. correct me if i am wrong but doesnt that sound a little bit....wrong??? what should she do about it? anything?

I have dated this guy a couple of times. Each time though someone else has called and he replied sarcastically if it was another guy and I told him the truth (it was) On our second date when the phone wrang I didint answer it but shortly after he said he had things to do and said you have things to do and i said no I dont and he said yes you do. I asked him to give me a call and he said you call me I dont want to interupt your life. I called him yesterday and asked if I could see him and he said he had to work on his snowmobiles and was busy. Is it me or is this a lame excuse

me and my guy had sex on the first date. from then on we were inseparable, and i pretty much stayed at his place everyday until 3 months later when we got our first apartment together. a year later we are married, but i can't help but think it all happened way too fast. we are happy together most of the time and i love him with all my heart. i guess i'm afraid he'll regress and want to go back to being single or cheat on me because he is unhappy but doesn't want to hurt me. he is 23 and i am 25. what do you think?
