Why Do I Feel So Empty?

I'd appreciate any help, i've been in a 21 month relationship with my gf, im 17 still with my parents, i go to school in year 12 at the moment, and i go out occasionally with mates... so why? why do i feel like nothin matters to me anymore, i feel like a shell, so empty.
Yet i have everything, i've tried filling my spare time with more things to do, but i seem to lose interest and that emptiness returns.

I dont know what to do anymore, it seems to get me depressed alot, and my girlfriend worries i might do sumthin stupid, she doesnt seem to understand how i feel.

Help?

I'm not advocating a forum for lots of pornographic blather, but it seems that many questions re: relationships deal with topics of safe sex, sexual techniques, sexual communication, positions, and other items specific to the bedroom or backseat. ok . . . my gf broke up with me back in march and said she wanted to date around and see whats out there and all that good stuff after a 2 year relationship. . she starts dating this kid i went to high school with 2 weeks later . . . i hate the kid so its obviously a bad situation for me . . . so i try to get her back for about 2 months and in the middle of june i went NC . . on our 2 year anniversery at the beginning of july she send me a text that says . . "today was two year" just to remind me of it i guess . . . and ever since that text she has been calling/texting/leaving voicemail/or emailing me once atleast ever 2-3 weeks . . . a few times in was 2-3 times in a week . . . i have not responded to her or anything . . . so its been 5 months and its still going on .. .she is still with this same guy so she obviously knows we cant be friends be cause of the situation.. . . . . .so why does she keep trying to contact me?. .

Last X-mas I was pretty stoked over all the gnarly crap I got from mom, dad, and my older sisters. I got a guitar, amp, snow board, mountain bike, and a progressive scan DVD (top of the line...not that walmart crap LOL) Anyway, i also got SOCKS from my grandma. HAHA. You heard me right, my peeps, socks! I mean, hello!, this is the 2000s or whatever. I threw those away after she left cause I didnt wanna smash her feelings.
