Last X-mas I was pretty stoked over all the gnarly crap I got from mom, dad, and my older sisters. I got a guitar, amp, snow board, mountain bike, and a progressive scan DVD (top of the line...not that walmart crap LOL) Anyway, i also got SOCKS from my grandma. HAHA. You heard me right, my peeps, socks! I mean, hello!, this is the 2000s or whatever. I threw those away after she left cause I didnt wanna smash her feelings. But damn..u think she would have more sense...maybe not cause her brain full of cobwebs at this point! LOL! I still lover her though cause shes my blood and all....ANYWAY....

You know what hon, if you really didn't throw away the sox, put them in a bottom drawer in your room and just leave them there. When I was a little kid, my grandma used to always, every year, buy me ribbon candy. I hate ribbon candy. But I took it home and put it out for everybody else to eat. I'm grown up now. Grandma is gone. And every christmas I wish I had the box again. Not because I want the candy. Still don't want that. But sure do miss my gradma a lot. Christmas is coming around again. If Grandma is still with you, take the socks. And give her a huge hug and a big smile. You have your back covered by all the other people who give you stuff you want. And this time, save the socks. Some day, long time in the future, take them out of the bottom drawer of where ever you are then, and ....you will remember.
As far as the worse gift I ever got....a lifetime or two ago, I had this really bad boyfriend. He gave me horrible gifts. One valentine's day, he took a beat up old silk flower out of the garbage and gave it to me. Broke my heart. And for christmas once, he got drunk and stole a wax head out of a wax museum. It was a pirate head, but looked exactly like my boss. So I not only hated the gift, I hated him for doing it. He just thought it was a big joke. He is now spending his holidays all alone. And hopefully he will burn in some sort of hell he created himself. But I am not bitter (wink)
By the way dear, do you give Grandma anything for christmas??? It would be nice if you offered to help her with something she can't manage anymore by herself, vaccumming, dishes, some sort of home chore. Get her a really nice card, and maybe a little stuffed animal too. And lots of hugs and smiles.

Funny but true. I worked for a non-profit organization as thier Fund-Raising Manager. I made an average 2.3 million a year for them. The executive director (butch-female) called me and my wife in for a meeting to exchange Christmas gifts. My wife worked for her as an accountant. She gives my wife a cute little paper weight of glass dolphines. She knew my wife loved dolphines. Anyway, my gift was not wrapped. She handed me a Field and Stream magazine. She knew I liked to hunt and fish right? Right! Well, I say "Ohh great you got me a subscription to Field and Stream?" She said, no I thought you would like the magazine. I smiled and began to laugh when I noticed her father's name and address on the top of it. She actually went to her dads house, was probably sitting on the toilet and saw the magazine which was thoroughly read by her dad, and said "I'm so cheap that I'm not even going to buy one from the store" I'll give the man that makes my Charity 2 million a year a magazine from my dad's magazine rack in the bathroom.
LOL This one has got to win the worst gift ever award!

anyways.. the worst gift i ever got was a bunk bed..
i thought it was going to be a drum kit.. cause it was to big to fit in the house under the tree.. only to go out to the shed to find a bunk bed...
the funny thing is i had a dream the night or so before that i got a bunk bed for xmas and that was all my parents got me.. and any other gift i had to wait untill boxing day to open ..
i told my parents the next morning i'm not sure how they kept a straight face

I got a polyester car seat cover with tinkerbell on it. Only one and not even a match-not that I would even consider using it! It was from my mom too...I am in my 30's BTW. My brother's and I made a worst gift hall of fame and put it in it.
