why doesnt he just ask me out???

ok for the most part i have been single , living the it up, but i noticed that i am missing something in my life. i realized that i was lonely and that i wanted to date someone.
The only problem is that i have had so many bad relationships with girls that i have no idea how to accept anyone anymore.
I used to accept women for who they are but that was changed when whoever i dated, people would look down upon me and ask me "why did i date them?"
Well now a days i do indeed have standards for a girlfriend but whenever i begin to like someone, they either say no or have a boyfriend
or the girls that do want to go out with me want me to date them, but i do not want to and they get anygry when i reject them

now a days my standards are that i want a beautiful girl that accepts me for who i am and would care about me and visa versa

is there anything wrong with me?

I really like my close guy friend and for a while it really seemed like he liked me. But I don't date (never have) and he thinks I don't want to and never will, he also knows that it's because I'm kind of insecure. People have told me if he thinks he doesn't have a chance with me he wouldn't admit liking me.

I also just recently set him up with his current girlfriend. But he still acts like he might like me. If he does like me but won't admit it because he thinks he doesn't have a chance with me would he still pursue and go out with other girls (namely the one I set him up with)"

I'm attracted to my friend's younger cousin. It didn't happen out of nowhere either, it's been quite awhile. I'm waiting until we get older and he gets more mature to actually try and pursue a relationship because I think now is too soon. He's four years younger than me. I'm a junior in college and he's only a junior in highschool! The question is when can we date and it not be considered strange?

My off and on boyfriend messed around with girls while we were apart and I didn't say anything because it had nothing to do with me, but when I met someone and slept with him, he got all upset with me and got all hurt and said that anything I've ever said to him about my feelings now mean nothing. Why is that? we weren't even together at the time.

An ex-bf of mine calls me sometimes (monthly). Well this time he calls me and ask if he could come down to see me from another state. It's about a 3 hr drive, anyway he gets off the phone w/me about 2 AM and he is at my apt by 9AM. When he gets there we talk, later I went to sleep on him; I was disturbed when I heard his phone ringing over and over, he went to the bathroom to Answer it, and then ran down stairs, WTF?. Later he returned to say that he was only getting coffe. He went on all day after that talking about how he wanted to "rekindle our love". I was so ready for his *ss to leave. He tried be affectionate all day, this really begin to work my nerves. He said, "I know that you think I was on the phone w/another woman, but I wasn't. Insucurity is a sign of jealous." story short, i told him I didn't want a relationship w/him and that I moved on. He left, and now insists on calling my phone, I have been ignoring his calls,swearing I won't answer them. Think he is rebounding?

So my boyfriend is overseas. I thought we had a strong relationship! I'm not the kind of girl that jumps to conclusions. I just recently found out that he has been calling his ex while he's been in Iraq, and writing her letters, she just broke up with her boyfriend...I'm really don’t' think that I'm okay with this? And I'm not sure as to why he would be doing that. We write everyday, we email all the time, I send him packages out at least once a week!! It just seems so out of character for him. He's a really good guy we've spent most of our relationship hanging out with my family.

would you consider dating a black girl? What types of things do you look for in a black girl. From my understanding there is generally one type of black girl guys(other than blacks) like to date. Does she have to have long hair, and "act white"? Im not ghetto as some might say, but i am definitly in touch with my culture. I would like to think that I could date any race, but lately I have been feeling like other races have something against black women. My ex is working in Europe and is planning a trip to Thailand. He asked me in an email if he goes to thailand would I meet him there . I am currently working not far from Thailand.There was no closure between us really . We just drifted away from each other because of the distance. Ok, I like this guy. We've been friends for a long time. Me, him, and my best friend hang out all the time.He used to like my best friend, but she turned him down so many times I think he gave up. He's kinda always had feelings for her, but I don't think he really does anymore.

Lately, he hangs around me a lot more. I don't really know if he wants a relationship. I like him, but i just don't know. He's my guy friend, so it could change our relationship if I do anything....

I am a shy woman (30) but I also think I am unapproachable. I think I hide my shyness well -- unfortunately, I think it comes off as unfriendly! People tell me I'm pretty and can get any guy I want (yeah, right... I'm always alone so whatever) but I am too shy to approach men and the only men that seem to approach me are bizarre or are stragglers who have no fear (?). Also, the kicker is that when a guy I would be into approaches I can't handle the situation and I have no idea what to say and the insecurity takes over. How do I appear more open to be approached? How do I deal with the situation once I am approached? Wow... this is complicated! Help...
