I am a shy woman (30) but I also think I am unapproachable. I think I hide my shyness well -- unfortunately, I think it comes off as unfriendly! People tell me I'm pretty and can get any guy I want (yeah, right... I'm always alone so whatever) but I am too shy to approach men and the only men that seem to approach me are bizarre or are stragglers who have no fear (?). Also, the kicker is that when a guy I would be into approaches I can't handle the situation and I have no idea what to say and the insecurity takes over. How do I appear more open to be approached? How do I deal with the situation once I am approached? Wow... this is complicated! Help...

I'm exactly the same way you are about people thinking you're just unfriendly. Start out with just little smiles when you're interested in someone because it can be really hard to get words out. Get more and more comfortable doing that and slowly do more like saying "hi" and asking how they are. Once you are approached, stay calm and just be yourself and if you're getting shy just tell him. Most guys think it's cute when girls admit they're shy =).

well since your a pretty woman it should be easy if you like the person just say you should call me some time and give your number out or you can do and much easier approach try online dating that way you talk with that person on yahoo messager and you can both laugh do jokes whatever but when you two meet you will just be like wow its really you but you two still do the same thing you do online but just dating each other in a place then before you know it you got a bf tah dah lol

im 21 and i was also shy and akward when it came to guys--- what has helped me come out of my shell and talk more to people has been going to public places were i can talk to lots of people that dont know me, sometimes were not really as shy as we think ,were just to conserned with what people are think of us-- so just forget everything and realize that most of the time the other person feels as conserned as you-- so relax and open up, youll meet really cool people.

look girlfriend go to a club with all your best girlfriends and party and forget about all your shyness and MEET a guy! talk to him dance with him and maybe they will ask you out on a date and you will meet some good people
