Singles & Dating - 16 September 2006

A guy joked about being interested in me twice, and he kept asking me how I look and stuff. When I asked him if he ever joked around with other women in the same way, he said yes and stressed that he was merely joking. I've never joked around with any guy in this way, nor have I heard any other guy joked about being interested in me. I don't know if he was afraid of rejection, so he told me that he had also joked in the same way with other women and that he was merely joking. I mean, would anyone joke about being interested in someone??? That's really werid to me. What do you think? I appreciate it that you will share with me your opinions on this. Thanks a lot.

Her father is states away, has seen her only a few times, they know eachother, and they love eachother, he pays child support...but has no real rights and is not involved unless I let him be. So essentially the man who actually goes for long hall would be a father figure. But here's the other thing, I personally want the whole commitment thing and all and unless the man has the $ to really want to take the support away and provide in that way, I don't want marrage. Just the commitment and be as married.... So, knowing that... What are some opinions? (i know, bad spelling... sorry!)

I have recently started dating my long time friend and I know he adores me. But the relationship as a couple is pretty fresh and on Thursday I called to meet him and he invited me to his workplace. Gosh. I was happy but since I had to meet him after an entire day out in the sun, I reached his office looking like some dark-skinned, red-faced rag. I mean I was sweating, my skin looked really dark from all the sun exposure and I dont know how I appeared. Apparently, he didnt seem to notice that coz he was sweet as he usually is. We stayed in his office for half an hour, talked like we normally do and then I left. I am still worried abt the impression I must have left on his co-workers and probably my guy too. Do I need to worry?

I'm not pretty and likely, no one noticed me in school even I'm a prefect. I loved my best friend, his handsome so kind and have a lot of chemistry with me. But his popular in school while I'm not. What should I do to make him know I really love him? Some of my friends told me he might have interest with me by the way he treat me more than just a friend. Okay, anyway I am 22 and have a serious question. Why is it that everytime I have a oppurtunity for no strings attach sex I always screw it up. Tonight I went to the bar and my friends girlfriend brought this gorgous girl. So I flirted with her all night and when we went to drop her off I decided to walk her to her apartment. We started making out for awhile and she asked me if I wanted to come upstairs. Acourse, I get nervous and tell her (here's a classic line) I am not a one night stand kind of guy. She said she respected that and we made out for awhile longer and than I left with her number. I mean what the hell is wrong with me...a gorgous girl wants to have sex and I deny it. I am not a virgin and not scared of sex or anything I just don't want to have sex with a girl that I hardly know. What guys turns this down....I am so angry over this situation it just happened about an hour ago and am just looking for advice to help me. Thanks in advance!

My ex boyfriend says he hates me and to leave him alone, but he keeps the messages back and forth going...
and he calls me from time to time, I don't answer it usually... I answered a call from him before but he didn't say anything so I hung up but he still calls time to time... and he has claimed before that he had a new gf and that they are so happy together..
I have no idea what he is doing though, if he hates me so much and doesn't want to talk to me then why is he calling me still? and why does he even have MY number still?
I'm not really worried about it but it does amuse me somewhat because he is making no sense to me.
any opinions would be appreciated though.

I had a ex-girlfriend who broke up with me with the reason that i'm too good to her and that she's feels she is not able to reciprocate. When a girl says as such does she really mean so? That you can break up with someone because that person is too good? Mind boggling for me.

can these relationships ever work out or are looks just too important? i feel like i can get passed the looks but i still catch myself thinking about it. will i just obsess over it more as time goes on? i know in my past relationships the things that seem minor in the beginning grow as time passes. are looks like that or do they do the opposite, matter less as time goes on?
