I had a ex-girlfriend who broke up with me with the reason that i'm too good to her and that she's feels she is not able to reciprocate. When a girl says as such does she really mean so? That you can break up with someone because that person is too good? Mind boggling for me.

She just does not want to be with you. That is the long and the short of it. And she just fed you a piece of crap to make it look like its your fault. When the fault was hers.............................

Yes I think you could. Have u ever met someone that was smarter, more attractive, and more athletic than u and u just can't keep up with them? U would feel intimidated by them and think "they can do better. Eventually they'll figure it out and break up the relationship." It would be hard to keep up a conversation with a genius. It also goes the other way around. If someone is not good enough for u, boy would the conversations be boring. Sorry to hear about ur break up.

She might not be used to having someone treat her nice as you have. Some women have such low self-esteem that they don't believe they should be treated that way. She also may feel that her financial situation isn't as great as your and she cant "reciprocate" the way she thinks she needs to.

Either she used that as a nice excuse to dump you or she really meant it and she was doing somthing behind yourback and realized that you treated her better than she could treat you. Or maybe she was to lazy to put effort into the relationship??? she's an idiot for sure either way.. Hoensty is always the best policy and I dont think she is being honest with you about her reasons for breaking up!

What she meant was that she didn't feel the same way about you as you obviously felt about her, and it was easier to break the relationship off altogether than to continue to live with the guilt of accepting your love without being able to reciprocate.

You should try to talk to her because i was the same way. I was thinking my boyfriend was too good for me but it passed. I got over it. If she means to nice. Most girls don't like that because we like something to chase after. Like, a few arguments here and there. I don't know why that is but you should try to talk to her and make sure she knows she is good enough if you feel that she is. To answer your question though, she probably thinks you're too good for her because you're more attractive, smarter, nicer ..things like that.

I have never broken up wit a guy over ti but I have said it. In my mind it means I feel you are too good for me and too good to me or too sweet. It is never a bad thing to me neway!

It is a very diplomatic way to break up with you without hurting you and without giving herself bad feelings, sorry man...

That was just an excuse to break up with you, don't worry it just means that she was not the one for you.
